Renault’s Revolutionary Racer: The Master E-Tech Van Zooms into the Future with 460km Electric Endurance

In a groundbreaking leap for electric mobility, Renault has unveiled its latest marvel, the Master E-Tech Electric, setting a new benchmark in the realm of electric vans across Europe. With an awe-inspiring WLTP range of up to 460 kilometers on a single charge, this van is not just about getting from A to B; it’s about cruising past the competition with energy to spare.

The secret behind its remarkable efficiency? A duo of meticulously optimized battery options – a compact 40 kWh and a robust 87 kWh – coupled with an innovative design dubbed the “Aerovan.” This design, alongside a cutting-edge platform, has slashed power consumption by a whopping 27% compared to its predecessors, demonstrating Renault’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of electric vehicle technology.

From the drawing board to the wind tunnel, every aspect of the New Master E-Tech Electric has been sculpted for perfection. Its streamlined silhouette and componentry have been refined through countless hours of testing, ensuring that it cuts through the air with unprecedented ease. The result? Superior efficiency, regardless of the energy source, thanks to its SCx being over 20% lower than its rivals.

But it’s not just about range and efficiency. The Master E-Tech Electric boasts a powertrain that features a 300 Nm/105 kW motor and a transmission system with one of the highest ratios in its class, allowing for a laden mass of up to 4 tonnes and towing capabilities that set new standards in the segment.

Innovations such as a dynamic braking system that converts kinetic energy into electric power and a battery heat management system ensure that performance and battery life are maximized, while the cabin’s standard air conditioning keeps the environment just right, further conserving battery life.

With a payload capacity of 1,625 kg and the ability to tow up to 2.5 tonnes, this van proves that going electric doesn’t mean compromising on capability. Charging is a breeze, too, with a 130 kW DC fast charge that adds 252 km of range in just 30 minutes, and a 22 kW AC home Wallbox that can fully recharge the battery overnight.

But that’s not all – the Master E-Tech Electric is also a smart van, offering functionalities reminiscent of a smartphone experience. It includes Google Maps for optimized routing, an Electric Route Planner, the My Renault app for electric vehicle services, and even Vehicle To Load (V2L) and Vehicle To Grid (V2G) capabilities, making it a truly versatile companion for the modern professional.

Proudly manufactured in France, the Renault Master E-Tech Electric is a testament to innovation, efficiency, and performance, all wrapped up in an electric package that’s ready to take on the challenges of tomorrow. Available from spring 2024, it’s set to electrify the roads and redefine what we expect from electric utility vehicles.
