In a significant achievement for Indian automotive manufacturer Tata Motors, the 300,000th unit of the Tata Punch has successfully come off the assembly line, marking a new milestone in the company’s production history.
The Tata Punch, a popular model in Tata’s lineup, was initially launched in October 2021. The model quickly gained popularity, reaching its first production milestone of 100,000 units in just 10 months following its launch. The production pace continued steadily, with the second 100,000 units completing production by May 2023.
Priced competitively, the Tata Punch starts at Rs. 5.99 lakh, extending up to Rs. 10.09 lakh. The vehicle is available in four distinct variants: Pure, Adventure, Accomplished, and Creative. Under the hood, the Tata Punch is equipped with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Revotron petrol engine. This engine is capable of delivering a power output of 86 Horsepower and a torque of 115 Nm. Customers have the option to choose between a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic transmission.
In addition to the petrol version, Tata Motors has also introduced a factory-fitted CNG kit option for the Punch. The CNG variant produces slightly lower figures of 72 Horsepower and 103 Nm torque, and it is only available with a 5-speed manual transmission in the Revotron CNG engine.
Celebrating this significant production achievement, Tata Motors expressed their gratitude and excitement through a tweet: “As the 300,000th Tata PUNCH hits the road, our enthusiasm reaches new heights. Thank you, India, for #VibingWith300KTribe and letting Tata PUNCH #FindYourVibe!”
This milestone is not just a testament to the popularity of the Tata Punch but also reflects the growing strength and capability of India’s automotive industry on a global scale.
