Mumbai: Audi India has begun local assembly of the all-new Audi Q3 at the Škoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) plant in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, ahead of the compact luxury SUV’s scheduled launch in India on October 16, 2026.
The move adds the new-generation Q3 to Audi’s locally assembled portfolio in India and comes as the German luxury carmaker looks to strengthen its position in the country’s premium vehicle market.
The India-spec all-new Audi Q3 will be powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine and equipped with Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system. The company said the SUV will also offer a range of segment-first features and technologies, although detailed specifications and variant information are expected closer to its launch.
Local assembly is being carried out at SAVWIPL’s manufacturing facility in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, which produces vehicles for multiple Volkswagen Group brands.

For Audi, the Q3 has traditionally served as one of the more accessible entry points into its SUV line-up, making the new model strategically important as luxury manufacturers compete for buyers moving up from premium mass-market vehicles.

Bookings for the all-new Audi Q3 are open through the Audi India website, the myAudi Connect application and Audi dealerships across the country.
With local production now underway, attention will turn to pricing, equipment levels and positioning when the Q3 launches on October 16. In a segment where technology, brand appeal and pricing are all expected to work overtime, local assembly could become an important part of Audi’s strategy to make its latest compact SUV more competitive in India.
