Ahmedabad: Tesla has expanded its customer support network in Gujarat with the opening of a new Tesla-Approved Body Shop (TAB) in Ahmedabad, giving owners access to genuine parts, trained repair technicians and collision repairs carried out to Tesla standards.
The facility adds to Tesla’s growing after-sales infrastructure in India and is aimed at reducing repair downtime for customers in Ahmedabad and surrounding parts of Gujarat.
Alongside the body repair facility, Tesla is also offering display vehicles and test drives of the 2026 Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive and the Model Y L in Ahmedabad, allowing prospective buyers to experience the two versions before placing an order.

Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive Priced at ₹50.89 Lakh
The Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive is priced at ₹50,89,000 in India and offers seating for five passengers along with up to 2,138 litres of storage capacity.
The electric SUV is equipped with power-folding seats and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. Tesla claims a driving range of up to 500 km under the WLTP testing cycle.
The model is available with a ₹6,00,000 down payment, while monthly EMIs start at ₹39,990. Deliveries of the variant began in July 2026.
Model Y L Offers Six Seats and Up to 681 Km Range
For buyers requiring additional passenger and luggage space, Tesla is offering the Model Y L, which features a three-row, six-seat configuration and an All-Wheel Drive powertrain.
The Model Y L offers increased headroom and legroom along with up to 2,539 litres of cargo volume. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds and delivers a claimed range of up to 681 km under WLTP standards.
Prices for the Model Y L start at ₹61,99,000, with a ₹6,50,000 down payment and monthly EMIs starting from ₹49,990.
With two Model Y configurations now available for test drives, prospective buyers can directly compare the five-seat and six-seat versions — a more practical exercise than attempting to settle the family seating debate over a specification sheet.
Tesla Highlights Global Safety Ratings
Tesla said both Model Y variants have received top safety ratings from several international vehicle safety organisations, including the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) in the United States, Euro NCAP in Europe, ANCAP in Australia and New Zealand, and C-IASI in China.
The Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive and Model Y L are available to order through Tesla’s official website, with deliveries offered across India.
Tesla is also providing Home Charging support across all states in India, forming part of its broader effort to build an ownership ecosystem around its electric vehicles rather than limiting its presence to vehicle sales alone.
Tesla-Approved Body Shops Now in Six Indian Cities
With Ahmedabad joining the network, Tesla-Approved Body Shops are now available in Pune, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Delhi and Ahmedabad.
The addition of an approved body repair facility, service capability and on-road test drives in Ahmedabad signals Tesla’s continued expansion of its customer-facing infrastructure in India. As electric vehicle competition increases, the availability of servicing, charging and repair support is likely to become just as important to buyers as range figures and acceleration times — perhaps even more so once the new-car smell wears off.
