MG Hector Turns Seven in India; JSW MG Motor Announces Benefits of Up to ₹60,000

Gurugram: JSW MG Motor India has announced a limited-period anniversary programme for the MG Hector, offering customers benefits of up to ₹60,000 on eligible bookings made during August 2026 as the SUV completes seven years in the Indian market.

The benefits include exchange incentives, loyalty rewards, corporate benefits and anniversary discounts, according to the company. The programme is available across the MG Hector range during the month.

The All-New MG Hector is currently priced from ₹11.99 lakh, ex-showroom. JSW MG Motor India is also offering customers up to 100% funding on the vehicle’s on-road price for tenures of up to 84 months, or seven years. Buyers can additionally avail 100% funding support on accessories for the SUV.

Vinay Raina, Chief Commercial Officer, JSW MG Motor India, said, “The MG Hector has enjoyed an extraordinary journey over the past seven years, earning the trust of thousands of Indian families and redefining expectations in the SUV segment. As we celebrate this important milestone, we wanted to thank our customers with an ownership programme that delivers value far beyond the purchase of the vehicle. The Anniversary Programme reflects our customer-first philosophy and our commitment to making the MG Hector ownership experience as rewarding as the product itself.”

The Hector made its Indian debut in 2019, when MG positioned it as the country’s first “Internet SUV”, putting connected-car technology at the centre of its pitch at a time when such features were still relatively uncommon in the segment.

Earlier this year, JSW MG Motor India introduced the All-New MG Hector with styling, technology and interior updates, while retaining the model’s familiar SUV format.

Among the exterior changes is a new Aura Hex Grille with a hexagonal pattern, along with redesigned Aura Sculpt front and rear bumpers and Aura Bolt alloy wheels. The SUV is also available in two new exterior colours — Celadon Blue and Pearl White.

Inside, the 7-seater variants receive a Dual-Tone Urban Tan theme, while the 5-seater gets a Dual-Tone Ice Grey cabin with a black-and-grey combination.

The interior also features Hydra Gloss Finish Accents with hydrophobic black-blue inserts, along with fabric seat inserts. An available Leather Pack adds leather-finished dashboard, door and console trims, front ventilated seats, a telescopic and tilt-adjustable steering wheel, and a six-way power-adjustable driver seat.

Technology remains one of the Hector’s more prominent calling cards. The SUV is equipped with a 14-inch HD portrait touchscreen infotainment system featuring Smart Boost Technology, which the company says improves processing performance and interface responsiveness.

It also gets i-SWIPE Touch Gesture Control, which allows two- and three-finger gestures to operate functions including air-conditioning, music and navigation. The system is designed to make the touchscreen experience feel a little closer to a smartphone — though drivers may still want to leave the elaborate swiping for when the car is stationary.

Other features include a Digital Bluetooth Key and Key Sharing capability, Predictive Maintenance Alerts, Remote AC Control and more than 70 connected-car functions.

The driver display uses a full digital cluster with a 17.78 cm embedded LCD screen.

The anniversary programme applies to eligible MG Hector bookings made during August 2026. Buyers interested in the offer can obtain details from JSW MG Motor India dealerships or the company’s official website.

Seven years after the Hector helped establish MG’s presence in India, the latest programme reflects how competition in the country’s SUV market is increasingly extending beyond design and equipment to include financing, ownership incentives and connected technology. For buyers, that means the battle for attention is no longer fought only under the bonnet — the loan document and touchscreen now have almost as much work to do.
