Nissan India Records 8,346 Wholesales in June Ahead of Tekton World Premiere

Gurugram: Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. reported a 16% year-on-year rise in total wholesales in June 2026, selling 8,346 units during the month, supported by strong domestic growth and steady export performance.

Domestic wholesales stood at 3,006 units in June 2026, marking a sharp 129% year-on-year increase. The performance also gave Nissan Motor India its fourth consecutive month of year-on-year domestic sales growth, a welcome streak in a market where momentum can be as difficult to hold as a parking spot in peak-hour traffic.

Exports accounted for 5,340 units during the month, reinforcing Nissan India’s role as an important export hub for the company.

Commenting on the performance, Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd., said: “Recording four consecutive months of domestic sales growth is a strong reflection of the growing customer confidence in our product portfolio and the steady progress of our market strategy. This momentum has been made possible by the continued support of our partners, dealers and on-ground teams, who are playing a vital role in strengthening Nissan’s presence across India. The sustained demand for the New Nissan Magnite and the all-new Nissan Gravite, along with our expanding customer reach and network footprint, gives us confidence as we prepare for the World Premiere of the Nissan Tekton on July 9. This milestone reinforces our long-term commitment to India and to delivering products that meet evolving customer expectations.”

Nissan said customer interest across its India line-up remained encouraging, supported by the market response to the All-New Nissan Gravite. The New Nissan Magnite continues to be a key pillar for the brand in India, helping maintain customer engagement across important markets.

The company is now preparing for the World Premiere of the Nissan Tekton on July 9, 2026. Nissan has positioned the unveiling as the next milestone in its India Resurgence Story, as it looks to expand its product portfolio and strengthen its long-term growth strategy.

With domestic sales rising for four straight months and exports remaining stable, Nissan Motor India’s June numbers point to a business trying to build depth in India while continuing to serve global markets from the country. The upcoming Tekton premiere will be closely watched as the next test of how far that renewed momentum can travel.
