JSW MG Motor India Keeps the Wheels Turning, Posts 3% Growth in April 2026 Despite Global Headwinds

Gurugram — In a month where global uncertainties tried their best to play spoilsport, JSW MG Motor India quietly stayed on course, registering a 3% year-on-year growth in April 2026. The company reported wholesale sales of 6,018 units, proving that even in a slightly bumpy market, steady hands on the wheel still matter.

The growth comes at a time when the ongoing West Asia crisis has been sending ripples across global supply chains and dampening consumer sentiment. In simpler terms, the automotive world has been dealing with a bit of a “traffic jam” — but MG seems to have found a lane that keeps moving.

Interestingly, the brand’s balanced portfolio of Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles and New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) continues to act like a well-tuned engine — not too loud, not too silent, but just efficient enough to keep things rolling. This dual strategy appears to be cushioning the company against fluctuations in demand while keeping customers engaged across segments.

Adding a dash of excitement to the mix, MG Majestor is all set to make its debut in India this month. Positioned as the country’s first D+ segment SUV, the Majestor aims to bring a new level of premium appeal to the segment — and perhaps give rivals something to think about during their morning coffee.

Early adopters have an added incentive, as the first 3,000 customers can access the “Complete Peace-of-Mind” program with a pre-booking amount of ₹41,000. The package includes a 5-year unlimited kilometre warranty, 5-year roadside assistance, and 5 labour-free services. In a market where peace of mind is often optional, MG is clearly trying to make it standard.

While the broader automotive industry navigates uncertain terrain, JSW MG Motor India’s April performance suggests that consistency, coupled with a forward-looking product strategy, can still deliver results — even when the global road ahead looks a little foggy.
