Pune: Jeep India has introduced the Meridian Track Edition, a limited-run special version of its premium three-row SUV, aimed at customers who want a stronger visual identity, added cabin flexibility and the kind of long-distance comfort that Indian family road trips (and luggage arguments) truly demand.
Based on the Meridian Overland variant, the new Track Edition combines cosmetic upgrades, enhanced interior detailing and a newly introduced 140 mm full-forward sliding second row, which Jeep claims makes this the most comfortable Meridian yet — and possibly the one where the third-row passenger finally stops negotiating for legroom.

Bolder Track Edition Styling for a Stronger Road Presence
The Meridian Track Edition distinguishes itself through several exterior enhancements designed to give the SUV a sharper and more purposeful stance.
Key highlights include:
- Signature Track Edition hood decal
- Piano Black accents across grille, badges and moldings
- Dark Espresso grille with Neutral Grey detailing
- 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels
- Exclusive Track Edition badging and insignia
The updates focus on visual attitude rather than redesign — think of it as the Meridian wearing a tailored black jacket instead of changing its entire wardrobe.
Cabin Upgrade Focuses on Comfort, Materials & Real-World Practicality
Inside, the Track Edition introduces a more premium and crafted environment with new material combinations and detailing.
Interior upgrades include:
- Dual-tone Tupelo upholstery with suede inserts
- Contrast stitching and quilting on seats
- Dark Espresso cabin accents with Piano Black bezels
- Cortina leather-wrapped steering wheel
- Track Edition branding across mats and cabin surfaces
The biggest functional improvement, however, is the 140 mm sliding second-row seat, improving both third-row access and flexible space management — an addition driven directly by customer feedback and long-journey usability.
In simple terms: fewer yoga moves required to reach the last row.
Jeep Confidence 7 Ownership Package Added
The Track Edition also comes bundled with Jeep Confidence 7, the company’s extended ownership program offering:
- Up to 7-year warranty coverage
- Maintenance packages
- Roadside assistance
- Assured buyback options
- Priority service support
This package aims to strengthen long-term ownership assurance for premium SUV buyers.
Diesel Powertrain and Jeep Capability Remain Unchanged
Mechanically, the Track Edition retains Jeep’s established diesel setup:
- 2.0-litre MultiJet II diesel engine
- 170 HP and 350 Nm torque
- 9-speed automatic transmission
- Available in 2WD and 4WD configurations
- Jeep’s Selec-Terrain system for multi-surface capability
Feature-Rich Tech and Safety Package Continues
The Meridian Track Edition continues with the SUV’s comprehensive feature list, including:
- 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment system
- Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster
- Premium Alpine sound system
- Dual-pane panoramic sunroof
- 12-way powered ventilated seats with memory
- Level 2 ADAS suite with 10+ safety functions
Official Statement
Kumar Priyesh, Business Head and Director – Automotive Brands, Stellantis India, said the Track Edition offers a more expressive premium experience while addressing customer demand for improved seating flexibility and comfort.
Market Positioning
With the Track Edition, Jeep appears to be targeting buyers in the premium three-row SUV space who want:
✔ Distinct styling without waiting for a full facelift
✔ Improved practicality for family usage
✔ Long-distance touring comfort
✔ Strong brand identity with off-road credibility
And of course, a limited-run badge — because nothing makes an SUV feel more special than knowing your neighbour probably doesn’t have the same one.
