Affordable and Eco-Friendly Upgrade Now Available in Key States
New Delhi: Renault India, a subsidiary of the Renault Group, has officially introduced government-approved CNG retrofitment kits for its popular models—Kwid, Kiger, and Triber. This latest initiative aligns with Renault’s commitment to sustainability while offering customers an economical fuel alternative.
Enhancing Efficiency with Factory-Approved CNG Kits
Renault’s CNG retrofitment kits will be available for all manual transmission variants, excluding automatic and turbocharged versions. The kits are homologated to meet all safety and performance standards, ensuring a seamless driving experience without compromising vehicle efficiency.
Customer Assurance: Warranty & Standardized Fitment
To reinforce its customer-first approach, Renault will offer a three-year warranty on all CNG-fitted vehicles. The kits will be installed by preferred vendors to maintain consistency in quality and safety across Renault’s network. The retrofitment ensures minimal impact on vehicle performance, allowing drivers to enjoy a smooth and efficient ride.
Phased Rollout: Expanding Nationwide Soon
The CNG kits will initially be launched in five major states—Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, and Maharashtra—which collectively contribute to 65% of the demand for CNG vehicles in India. Renault plans to expand availability to all states in the coming months.
Competitive Pricing for an Affordable Switch
Renault India has priced the CNG kit competitively to make the transition to cleaner fuel more accessible:
- Triber & Kiger: INR 79,500
- Kwid: INR 75,000 (Pricing inclusive of all costs)
Renault’s Commitment to Sustainability
Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Venkatram M., Managing Director and Country CEO, Renault India, stated, “Our commitment to innovation and sustainability drives us to continuously improve our offerings.
