This accomplishment further cements Mahindra’s reputation for prioritizing occupant safety without compromising on performance or innovation.
The Thar Roxx stands out as the first body-on-frame SUV to achieve this top-tier rating, scoring a record-breaking 31.09/32 for adult occupant protection (AOP) and 45/49 for child occupant protection (COP). These impressive numbers make the Thar Roxx the highest-rated internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle in Bharat-NCAP history, setting a new standard for rugged, family-friendly SUVs in India.
The XUV 3XO, Mahindra’s latest compact SUV, scored an impressive 29.36/32 in AOP and 43/49 in COP, showcasing Mahindra’s commitment to designing safe family-oriented vehicles. Meanwhile, the XUV400, Mahindra’s electric SUV, achieved 30.377/32 for AOP and 43/49 for COP, placing it among the safest EVs on Indian roads today.

Advanced Safety Features Across Models
Thar Roxx: A pioneer in body-on-frame SUV safety, the Thar Roxx includes a suite of features designed for optimal protection, such as six airbags, 3-point seatbelts, and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) on all variants. The SUV also incorporates Level 2 ADAS features, including Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Departure Warning, and a 360-degree surround view system for added driver awareness on challenging terrains.
XUV 3XO: Built from high-strength steel, the XUV 3XO integrates 35 standard safety elements, including six airbags, a 360-degree surround view system, and Level 2 ADAS with Lane Keep Assist and ESC, distinguishing it as a leader in compact SUV safety.
XUV400: Mahindra’s first electric SUV, the XUV400 combines essential safety features like six airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and all-around disc brakes. A reverse camera with adaptive guidelines further supports driver control, establishing the XUV400 as a safe choice among electric SUVs on Indian roads.
