SEOUL – Hyundai Motor Company has revealed teaser images of its upcoming all-electric flagship SUV, the Ioniq 9, set to debut in November. This three-row, spacious model marks Hyundai’s entry into the large SUV EV market and aims to set new standards in both design and functionality.
Positioned at the top of Hyundai’s Ioniq lineup, the Ioniq 9 introduces a bold new design philosophy that the company calls “Aerosthetic.” This approach melds advanced aerodynamic performance with sleek, luxurious aesthetics inspired by the spacious feel of a yacht. Hyundai’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) enables the vehicle’s generous interior space, including comfortable seating for third-row passengers, a rare feature among current EVs.
The teaser images showcase several of the Ioniq 9’s intricate design features, such as its curved roofline and an extended wheelbase, which further enhance its sense of space. Additional touches include character lines on the body inspired by traditional Korean Hanbok, adding a cultural elegance to its modern design. The Parametric Pixel front lamps and multi-spoke wheels add to its stylish yet dynamic look.
Leading up to its November world premiere, Hyundai will release further teasers through its social media channels. As Hyundai celebrates its recent milestone of producing over 100 million vehicles, the Ioniq 9 underscores its ambitious goal to produce 2 million EVs annually by 2030, continuing to expand its electrified vision for the future.
