New Delhi: Italian luxury sports car manufacturer Ferrari has brought its Universo Ferrari exhibition to India for the first time, transforming New Delhi into a showcase of the company’s racing heritage, road-going supercars, technological innovations and distinctive design philosophy. Open to the public until November 1, 2026, the exhibition also marks an important step in Ferrari’s expansion strategy for India, with two additional dealerships planned before the end of the year.
Officially announced on October 19 following its inauguration over the weekend, Universo Ferrari brings together some of the most significant vehicles in the company’s history, including the Ferrari F80, 849 Testarossa Spider, Daytona SP3, F50 and the three-time Le Mans-winning Ferrari 499P.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Ferrari Chief Executive Officer Benedetto Vigna, with the opening celebrations attended by customers, media representatives, business partners and dignitaries, including Antonio Bartoli, Ambassador of Italy to India.
Speaking at the inauguration, Vigna said:
“Universo Ferrari is an invitation to experience the world of Ferrari in its entirety: our racing spirit, our sports cars, our lifestyle, our heritage, and our constant drive to innovate. The first edition in India reflects the importance we place on building an enduring relationship with this nation and its growing community of Ferraristi, clients and enthusiasts.”

Ferrari Announces New Dealerships in Chennai and Ahmedabad
Beyond the collection of supercars, Universo Ferrari serves as a statement of the company’s ambitions in the Indian luxury automobile market.
Ferrari has confirmed plans to establish two additional dealerships in India by the end of 2026, strengthening its retail presence in the country’s southern and western regions.
In Chennai, Ferrari will partner with KUN Group, while its expansion into Ahmedabad will be undertaken through Infinity Group.
The new facilities are intended to improve access to Ferrari’s sales and customer services while supporting the company’s emphasis on personalised experiences and long-term client relationships.
Ferrari describes India as a fast-growing market with an increasingly enthusiastic community of sports car collectors and enthusiasts. Its expansion strategy remains selective, reflecting the brand’s preference for exclusivity rather than large-scale retail growth.
Ferrari F80, 849 Testarossa Spider and Daytona SP3 Headline the Exhibition
Among the principal attractions at Universo Ferrari is a collection of contemporary supercars, limited-production models and historic vehicles representing different periods of Ferrari’s development.
The Sports Cars section features the Ferrari F80, the manufacturer’s latest supercar, alongside the 849 Testarossa Spider, Ferrari 12Cilindri Spider and Ferrari Amalfi Spider.
The exhibition also includes the Ferrari Daytona SP3, representing the company’s Icona series, accompanied by a separate display of its 840 cv V12 engine.
Visitors can explore the Ferrari Luce through a dedicated display examining the ideas, technology and craftsmanship behind the project.
Personalisation receives considerable attention through the Ferrari Tailor Made 12Cilindri Manuale, demonstrating the scope of individual customisation available to customers.
Together, these displays illustrate Ferrari’s continuing development of performance engineering, vehicle design and luxury craftsmanship.
From Formula 1 to Le Mans: Ferrari’s Racing Heritage on Display
Motorsport occupies a central position at Universo Ferrari, reflecting the competitive foundations upon which the Maranello-based manufacturer built its reputation.
The Racing section features the Scuderia Ferrari SF-26 Formula 1 car, the Ferrari 499P, which has secured three Le Mans victories, and the Ferrari 296 GT3.
The Ferrari Challenge area showcases the 296 Challenge, the first six-cylinder-powered car in Ferrari’s single-make racing series.
These vehicles offer visitors an opportunity to explore the different branches of Ferrari’s motorsport activities, from Formula 1 and endurance racing to customer competition programmes.
Interestingly, not every performance-focused exhibit at Universo Ferrari has four wheels.
The exhibition also introduces Ferrari Hypersail, the company’s sailing project, which applies its expertise in technology, engineering and performance to a different competitive environment.
Ferrari F50 and Historic 612 Scaglietti Celebrate the Brand’s Legacy
Ferrari’s past receives equal attention through the Ferrari Classiche section, which features the F50 and the Ferrari 365 GTB4.
Another historically significant exhibit is a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti associated with the 2008 Magic India Discovery tour.
The car participated in a journey covering approximately 13,000 kilometres across India and was driven by more than 50 international journalists.
The expedition helped introduce Ferrari’s identity and driving experience to wider audiences while showcasing India’s diverse landscapes and cultural landmarks.
Its inclusion at Universo Ferrari connects the company’s contemporary ambitions with its earlier engagement with the country.
Tailor Made India: Ferrari Collaborates With National Institute of Design Students
One of the exhibition’s most distinctive initiatives is Tailor Made India, a creative project developed with students from the National Institute of Design (NID).
Working from a Ferrari design brief, the students explored the cultural identities, architectural influences and visual characteristics of ten Indian cities.
Their concepts were subsequently interpreted by Ferrari Design into ten digital Tailor Made configurations, comprising five Ferrari 12Cilindri models and five Ferrari Purosangue SUVs.
The designs draw inspiration from Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Varanasi and Goa.
Each configuration uses colours, materials and patterns influenced by the respective city’s cultural character.
The project highlights Ferrari’s efforts to connect Italian automotive design with Indian creativity while giving emerging designers an opportunity to contribute to an international automotive initiative.
Importantly, these are digital design creations rather than announced production vehicles.
Around 1,000 Students Invited to Ferrari Educational Programme
Ferrari has also incorporated an educational initiative into Universo Ferrari, extending the event beyond its traditional audience of customers and automotive enthusiasts.
Approximately 1,000 students were invited to participate in seminars and interactive sessions with Ferrari executives and specialists.
The programme covered leadership, innovation, technology, product development, design and entrepreneurship.
According to Ferrari, the initiative was intended to encourage younger participants to explore how creativity, technical expertise and engineering contribute to the development of high-performance products.
The company also organised an exclusive charity auction during a client dinner in collaboration with Avelon Luxe.
Featuring ten lots associated with the Ferrari universe, the auction raised contributions towards educational initiatives supported through Ferrari’s association with Save the Children and Bal Raksha Bharat in India.
The funds are intended to support children from underserved communities through improved access to education, foundational learning, teaching resources, classroom development and essential school materials.
Ferrari also announced Avelon Luxe as its India-based partner for the Ferrari Hypercar and Ferrari Challenge Middle East series, extending the relationship into the company’s international motorsport activities.
25 Ferraris Complete 1,800-Kilometre Journey Across India
The celebrations were not confined to the exhibition venue.
To mark Universo Ferrari’s arrival in India, a convoy of 25 Ferraris undertook a journey of approximately 1,800 kilometres, travelling from Mumbai to New Delhi.
The route passed through Vadodara, Udaipur, Jaipur and Agra before concluding in the national capital.
The drive brought together Ferrari owners and enthusiasts, combining long-distance motoring with visits to several of India’s prominent destinations.
For a marque whose identity has always been closely connected with driving, the road trip provided an appropriate introduction to the exhibition.
It also reflected the growing community of Ferrari owners in India and the importance of owner-led experiences in the manufacturer’s broader customer engagement strategy.
Universo Ferrari India 2026: Public Access and Tickets
Universo Ferrari is open to the public in New Delhi until November 1, 2026.
Tickets for the exhibition are available through District, the ticketing platform identified in Ferrari’s official announcement.
Visitors can explore dedicated areas covering Ferrari Sports Cars, Racing, Ferrari Classiche, Tailor Made, Ferrari Luce, Hypersail and the company’s relationship with India.
The exhibition also includes sections highlighting Ferrari’s community initiatives and its approach to social responsibility.
With its combination of historic vehicles, contemporary supercars, motorsport machinery and design projects, Universo Ferrari offers a broader perspective on the Italian manufacturer than a conventional automotive display.
A Significant Moment for Ferrari in India
Universo Ferrari’s Indian debut comes as international luxury car manufacturers increasingly recognise the long-term potential of the country’s affluent consumer market.
For Ferrari, however, the strategy extends beyond displaying expensive machinery or expanding showroom space. Its plans involve developing customer relationships, engaging with Indian designers, encouraging young talent and establishing a stronger presence within the country’s automotive community.
The proposed dealerships in Chennai and Ahmedabad, the Tailor Made India initiative and the educational programmes underline that broader approach.
Ultimately, Universo Ferrari represents more than a celebration of the company’s past and present. It reflects Ferrari’s intention to build a lasting relationship with India while preserving the exclusivity that has defined the Prancing Horse for decades.
