BYD Launches India’s Pioneering Electric 6 & 7-Seater MPV, eMax 7, Sustainable Family Travel at INR 26.90 lakh

New Delhi: BYD India, a subsidiary of the global leader in New Energy Vehicles (NEV), BYD, has launched India’s first electric MPV with 6- and 7-seater options—the BYD eMax 7. Starting at an ex-showroom price of INR 26,90,000, the eMax 7 offers a blend of innovation, sustainability, and comfort for eco-conscious families seeking modern mobility solutions.

The BYD eMax 7 is available in two variants: Superior and Premium. The Superior variant features a 71.8 kWh battery pack, delivering an impressive range of 530 km (NEDC tested), while the Premium variant comes with a 55.4 kWh battery, offering a range of 420 km. Acceleration is swift, with the Superior variant reaching 0-100 km/h in 8.6 seconds and the Premium variant achieving the same in 10.1 seconds.

Advanced Technology and Safety

The eMax 7 is built on BYD’s state-of-the-art e-platform 3.0, featuring an 8-in-1 electric powertrain system. This platform integrates eight essential components—including the motor, controller, and Battery Management System (BMS)—into one compact system for enhanced efficiency and space optimization.

In terms of safety, the vehicle comes equipped with six airbags, ABS, EPF, EBD, and an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), ensuring a secure ride for families. The use of BYD’s innovative Blade Battery technology, known for its heat efficiency and safety, further enhances protection in case of a collision.
