Hyundai India’s ‘Art for Hope’ Returns: Empowering Artists with INR 60 Lakh Grants and Nationwide Mentorship

Gurugram: Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) wing of Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), has officially kicked off the fourth edition of its celebrated ‘Art for Hope’ initiative. This flagship CSR program seeks to elevate emerging and underrepresented artists across India by offering financial support, expert mentorship, and a national platform to exhibit their work. Applications for this season are open until October 18, 2024, with artists encouraged to register via hyundaiartforhope.com.

Art for Hope has become a vital initiative for India’s artistic community. Now in its fourth season, the program will provide grants totaling INR 60 lakhs to 50 selected artists and art collectives, including individuals with disabilities. Through mentorship and resource sharing, Hyundai aims to create a sustainable ecosystem for creative expression that transcends conventional boundaries.

Inclusive and Diverse Art Platform

Art for Hope offers opportunities for a wide range of art forms, including painting, sculpture, digital art, music, and traditional crafts. By addressing social issues such as climate change and human rights, this season’s participants will use their art to spark dialogue and encourage community resilience. The program also places a special focus on artists from marginalized communities, women, youth, and those based in rural areas.

The financial support includes 40 individual grants of INR 1 lakh each and 10 institutional grants of INR 2 lakh each. These grants will help artists develop their projects while receiving guidance from seasoned professionals in the art industry.

  • Digital Art: Photography, filmmaking, and multimedia projects.

Since its inception, the Art for Hope initiative has awarded over INR 1.05 crore to 100+ artists, showcasing a vast array of perspectives and creative expressions that resonate with India’s rich cultural diversity.
