Kia India Surges Ahead with 23,523 Sales in September, Closes Q3 2024 on a High Note

Festive Season and New Models Drive 12% Growth as Kia Enters Next Phase of Expansion

New Delhi: Kia India continues to solidify its presence in the competitive automotive market, reporting impressive sales figures for September 2024. The automaker sold 23,523 units during the month, a 17% year-over-year (Y-O-Y) increase compared to September 2023’s 20,022 units. The standout performer remains the newly launched Kia Sonet, which sold 10,335 units, followed by the Seltos and Carens, with sales of 6,959 and 6,217 units, respectively.

Kia wrapped up Q3 2024 with a robust 66,553 units in domestic sales, reflecting a 12% growth compared to the same period last year. The Sonet led the charge, contributing 45% of the total sales, while the Seltos and Carens accounted for 28% and 27%, respectively. The brand’s steady rise highlights growing consumer confidence in Kia’s product lineup and positions it as a key player in India’s premium automobile segment.

Kia’s global appeal is also on display, with 2,006 units exported in September, underlining its ‘Make in India’ commitment and global market relevance. This reinforces the company’s ambition to cater to diverse international markets with vehicles designed to meet high-quality standards.

Commenting on the sales performance, Hardeep Singh Brar, Senior Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing at Kia India, attributed the success to strong consumer demand during the festive season of Ganesh Chaturthi and Onam. “Our exceptional sales figures are a direct reflection of our customers’ overwhelming response. As we move forward, our focus on expanding customer touchpoints and delivering best-in-class mobility solutions remains stronger than ever,” said Brar. He also noted that Kia’s refreshed product line, including two newly introduced Gravity trims, is poised to further drive sales during the upcoming festive season.

Looking ahead, Kia India is gearing up for the launch of the Carnival Limousine Plus and the highly anticipated EV9, marking the dawn of Kia 2.0—a vision that underscores the company’s commitment to shaping the future of mobility with cutting-edge, customer-centric solutions.
