In a nod to its 10th anniversary in South Korea, Porsche has unveiled the exclusive Taycan Turbo K-Edition, a limited-edition model that fuses the automaker’s signature high-performance engineering with distinctive elements of Korean culture. Available solely in Korea, this special edition is designed to resonate with Porsche’s Korean clientele by incorporating both modern luxury and traditional design cues.
Holger Gerrmann, CEO of Porsche Korea, emphasized the significance of this model: “The Taycan Turbo K-Edition is a testament to the deep connection between Porsche’s heritage and Korean culture. It also showcases the extensive customization options available through our Sonderwunsch program.”
The K-Edition is a product of collaboration between Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur and Porsche Korea, blending traditional Korean motifs with modern design. The car features a unique logo inspired by a historical Korean royal stamp, hand-painted on the exterior and integrated into the interior design. The skyline graphic, another hallmark of this edition, artistically merges the essence of Korean cities, architecture, and landscapes, further highlighting the cultural homage.
The exterior color options reflect the diverse facets of Korea, with buyers able to choose from five Paint to Sample finishes, including Ruby Red Metallic and Oak Green Metallic. The interior continues the theme with luxurious Olea club leather, available in Basalt Black or Truffle Brown, depending on the exterior color, and features intricate cross-stitching and color-blocked seat designs.
Porsche Korea, established in 2014, has seen significant growth, with the Taycan emerging as a favorite among South Korean drivers since its 2020 launch. The Taycan Turbo K-Edition not only celebrates this milestone but also represents Porsche’s commitment to honoring the cultural identity of its Korean customers through exceptional craftsmanship and design.
The model is built on the upgraded 2024 Taycan, offering enhanced power, improved acceleration, and faster charging, making it a perfect blend of performance and cultural appreciation.
