Ford Performance has unveiled the new Ford Raptor T1+, engineered to conquer the world’s most challenging rally raid terrains, including the Dakar Rally. This latest iteration represents the pinnacle of Raptor design and capability, featuring advanced suspension, a powerful V8 engine, and a rugged, purpose-built design.
The Ford Raptor T1+ incorporates advanced suspension technology with adjustable Fox bypass dampers, ensuring superior handling and durability in extreme conditions. Its Coyote-based 5.0 V8 engine delivers the necessary power and torque to navigate rugged terrains.
Developed in collaboration with M-Sport, the Raptor T1+ will be driven by elite drivers Carlos Sainz Sr. and Nani Roma starting in August. Mark Rushbrook, global director of Ford Performance Motorsports, highlighted the vehicle’s significance, stating, “The Ford Raptor T1+ is a stake in the ground for our global off-road vision – we want to take on the best and prove ourselves in the toughest places on earth.”
M-Sport director and Dakar team manager, Matt Wilson, emphasized the team’s preparation, noting they have already completed 10,000 kilometers of testing in harsh conditions. The Raptor T1+ will debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed before heading to Baja Hungary next month.

- Advanced Suspension: Independent double-wishbone suspension with coilover three-way adjustable and four-way adjustable external bypass dampers, ensuring superior handling and durability.
- V8 Performance: A 5.0L Coyote-based engine with a dry-sump oil system and tuned exhaust designed for Dakar’s challenges.
- Purpose-built Off-Road Design: T45 steel spaceframe, carbon fiber body panels, 400mm ground clearance, and a chiseled grille with FORD spelled across the front, combining functionality with striking aesthetics.
Competition Schedule:
- 2024 Baja Hungary (Aug. 8-10): The Raptor T1+ will make its competition debut in Hungary, known for its technical course.
- 2024 Rallye du Maroc (Oct. 4-11): Two teams will compete in Morocco, a critical testing ground ahead of the Dakar Rally.
- 2025 Dakar Rally (Jan. 4-17, 2025): All four teams will compete in the ultimate test of endurance, aiming to achieve a landmark victory.
