New Delhi, 10 June 2024: Indian tyre industry leader, JK Tyre & Industries, has announced a strategic partnership with EKA Mobility, a prominent player in the electric mobility sector, supported by equity partners Mitsui Co., Ltd. (Japan) and VDL Groep (Netherlands).
This collaboration marks a significant milestone in JK Tyre’s journey towards providing innovative “Connected Mobility Solutions.” This cloud-based monitoring system will enhance tyre management for EKA’s electric vehicle fleet. The agreement, signed in Pune, saw the presence of Sanjeev Sharma, AVP, Fleet Management & Mobility Solutions, JK Tyre, and Vijaykumar Yelne, President of EKA Mobility.
JK Tyre will equip EKA’s fleet with their next-generation EV tyres, integrated with Connected Treel Sensors for real-time monitoring. To ensure seamless operations, JK Tyre has deployed a dedicated team of professionals to provide 24/7 support at depots and enroute assistance. Initially rolling out with EKA’s Mumbai fleet, this comprehensive support will soon extend to other cities.
