Bengaluru, May 1, 2024 – Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) continues to rev up its growth engine, announcing a significant 32% increase in sales for April 2024, with a total of 20,494 vehicles driven off dealership lots. This surge in sales comes despite a scheduled weeklong shutdown and cements the automaker’s robust market position.
The impressive performance in April 2024, which saw a climb from 15,510 units in April 2023, is a testament to the enduring demand for Toyota’s diversified vehicle portfolio. Domestic sales were particularly strong, totaling 18,700 units, while exports also made a substantial contribution with 1,794 units.
This latest data also highlights a notable 48% rise in sales for the first four months of the calendar year 2024, with TKM selling 97,503 units, up from 65,871 units during the same period in 2023.
Sabari Manohar, Vice President of Sales-Service-Used Car Business at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, expressed his enthusiasm about the results: “Our commitment to quality and customer focus has driven us to achieve record-breaking growth. April’s results build on this momentum, setting a solid foundation for the year.”
In addition to robust sales figures, TKM is enhancing its customer experience with the launch of ‘T GLOSS,’ a comprehensive car care service designed for Toyota vehicles. This initiative aims to provide top-notch maintenance through highly skilled professionals, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
The company’s current success is fueled by a broad and appealing product lineup, including the Innova Crysta, Fortuner, and the newly introduced Urban Cruiser Taisor. These models, along with the Camry Hybrid and other vehicles, are key drivers of Toyota’s sustained growth.
Looking ahead, Toyota is poised to continue its strong performance, backed by its commitment to innovation, customer satisfaction, and an expanding range of high-quality vehicles. As the market evolves, Toyota remains at the forefront, ready to meet the diverse needs of its customers.
