2026 MG Hector Storm Series Launched in India: Blackstorm, Snowstorm Priced at ₹19.99 Lakh

Gurugram: JSW MG Motor India has launched the 2026 Hector Storm Series, introducing two limited-edition versions — the Hector Blackstorm and Hector Snowstorm — priced at ₹19,99,800 (ex-showroom) each. Both are offered as five-seater SUVs with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a CVT automatic transmission.

The new editions focus largely on visual differentiation, combining dark exterior detailing, black-themed cabins and edition-specific accessories with the Hector’s existing technology, safety and convenience equipment.

The Hector Blackstorm adopts an all-black exterior treatment, while the Hector Snowstorm gets a Pearl White body contrasted by a Starry Black roof. Both feature a new all-black Storm Hex Grille, redesigned-look front and rear bumper garnishes and Aura Storm Blade alloy wheels paired with red brake calipers.

Dark chrome detailing has also been applied to the MG logos, skid plates, tailgate accents and body-side cladding. Piano-black roof rails, LED headlamps with piano-black bezels and smoked connected tail lamps complete the treatment — because, in the increasingly crowded special-edition SUV business, apparently even chrome has learned to dress for the occasion.

Black-Themed Cabin With Edition-Specific Details

Inside, both Storm Series models receive what MG calls a Nimbus Black Interior, built around all-black leather upholstery and darker cabin accents.

The front headrests are embossed with either Blackstorm or Snowstorm branding, depending on the version, while the leather-wrapped steering wheel receives a gunmetal finish.

MG is also offering an exclusive Storm Series accessory package comprising Blackstorm or Snowstorm badging, a red tailgate accent, fog-lamp eye shadows with red detailing, ORVM protectors with red accents and side step boards.

According to the company, the package can be installed at dealerships at no additional cost.

Speaking on the launch, Vinay Raina, Chief Commercial Officer, JSW MG Motor India, said, “The Hector has been an integral part of MG’s journey in India and, over the years, has become synonymous with the MG brand. As one of the pioneers of connected mobility in the Indian SUV segment, the Hector continues to evolve in line with changing customer aspirations. With the introduction of the STORM Series, we are building on this legacy by offering a bolder expression of style and individuality. The Hector Blackstorm and Hector Snowstorm provide customers with a distinctive way to personalise their SUV while retaining the technology, safety, comfort and refinement that have defined the Hector experience.”

14-Inch Infotainment Screen and More Than 70 Connected Features

The Storm Series retains the Hector’s 35.56 cm (14-inch) HD portrait-oriented infotainment display, which MG describes as the largest in its segment.

The system uses Smart Boost technology for faster processing and improved responsiveness. It also supports i-Swipe gesture controls, allowing two- and three-finger gestures to operate functions including air-conditioning, music and navigation.

Other connected features include a Digital Bluetooth Key with Key Sharing capability, Predictive Maintenance Alerts, remote air-conditioning controls and a 17.78 cm digital instrument cluster.

MG’s i-Smart connected-car platform provides more than 70 connected functions.

The equipment list also includes a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, eight-colour ambient lighting, an automatic powered tailgate, an air purifier with PM2.5 filtration, rain-sensing wipers, front parking sensors and remote operation of selected audio, air-conditioning and ambient-lighting functions through the i-Smart application.

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, or ADAS, are also included among the Storm Series’ listed features.

143 PS Turbo-Petrol Engine

Mechanically, the Blackstorm and Snowstorm are powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 143 PS and 250 Nm of torque.

The engine is paired with a CVT automatic transmission, with both versions available exclusively in a five-seat configuration.

Safety equipment includes a 360-degree HD camera with Wheel View, anti-lock braking system, electronic brake-force distribution, Electronic Stability Program, Traction Control System, Hill Hold Control and Brake Assist.

Up to 100% On-Road Financing

JSW MG Motor India is offering financing of up to 100% of the vehicle’s on-road price, with loan tenures extending to 84 months. The company said 100% financing support is also available for edition-specific accessories.

Both Storm editions are covered by the company’s standard MG Shield 3+3+3 ownership package, which includes a three-year unlimited-kilometre warranty, three years of roadside assistance and three labour-free periodic services.

Customers can additionally opt for an extended warranty, extended roadside assistance and MG Protect prepaid maintenance plans.

With the Blackstorm and Snowstorm, MG is using styling rather than mechanical changes to broaden the Hector range. At an identical ₹19.99 lakh ex-showroom price, the choice between the two ultimately comes down largely to whether buyers prefer their special-edition SUV dressed predominantly in black or with a sharply contrasting white-and-black finish — while retaining the familiar Hector powertrain and technology package underneath.
