Bengaluru: Lexus India has opened bookings for the all-new ES 350h, the self-charging hybrid version of its eighth-generation executive sedan, across its Guest Experience Centres in the country. The model will be manufactured in India and offered in Exquisite and Luxury variants.
The ES 350h joins the recently introduced battery-electric ES 500e, giving Lexus’ new-generation executive sedan both Hybrid Electric Vehicle and Battery Electric Vehicle powertrain options. Prices and delivery timelines have not yet been announced.
Lexus said the new ES 350h will spearhead its next-generation electrified vehicle portfolio and support the company’s “multi-pathway” strategy towards carbon neutrality, which involves offering different electrified technologies rather than relying on a single powertrain approach.
Commenting on the announcement, Hikaru Ikeuchi, President of Lexus India, said: “As we continue to strengthen our ES family, the All-New ES 350h will be manufactured in India, following the success of the previous generation, reaffirming our enduring commitment to the Indian market. The new model underscores Lexus’ multi-pathway approach to electrification and reinforces our dedication to advancing sustainable mobility in India. In line with this direction, we are pleased to announce the opening of bookings for the All-New ES 350h, a model that has long been cherished by our guests in India. The response and anticipation surrounding this new generation have been immensely encouraging.
“Our focus remains on offering our guests a broader portfolio of electrified vehicles, and the new ES 350h stands as a testament to that promise. Built in India with the spirit of Lexus Takumi craftsmanship and the same world-class quality standards that define every Lexus globally, the ES embodies advanced technology, exceptional ride comfort, and remarkable stability, all guided by the spirit of Omotenashi. We are confident that the All-New ES 350h will further enhance the appeal of the ES lineup among our esteemed guests.”

Larger dimensions and new design language
The eighth-generation ES has been completely redesigned around Lexus’ “Discover Confidence” development theme and its next-generation “Provocative Simplicity” design philosophy.
The sedan adopts what Lexus describes as a “Clean Tech x Elegance” design concept, combining a cleaner exterior appearance with functional technology and the understated visual character traditionally associated with the ES.
The new model is longer, wider and taller than its predecessor, with an extended wheelbase intended to improve interior space. Ground clearance has also been increased, an important consideration in India, where even luxury sedans occasionally have to negotiate roads with an adventurous interpretation of level surfaces.
Exterior details include L-shaped lighting elements, a redesigned rear section and electronic door-latch releases supported by Safe Exit Assist.
The ES 350h will be offered with six exterior colour options: White Nova, Sonic Titanium, Sonic Chrome, Graphite Black, SOU and Sonic Copper. Buyers will also be able to choose between two interior colour schemes.
New 2.5-litre hybrid system
The ES 350h is powered by a newly developed hybrid system combining a 2.5-litre inline four-cylinder petrol engine, a new eAxle and a lithium-ion battery.
The Power Control Unit has been integrated into the transaxle, helping make the system more compact. Lexus said the revised hybrid setup has been engineered to balance performance, fuel efficiency, quietness and overall driving refinement.
The newly developed lithium-ion battery cells are also claimed to provide higher output while reducing the system’s size and weight. Lexus has not disclosed the combined power output, fuel-efficiency figures or detailed performance specifications for the India-specification model.
Ride comfort and cabin quietness, two characteristics closely associated with the ES nameplate, have also been further developed for the new generation.
14-inch touchscreen and digital instruments
Inside, the ES 350h follows Lexus’ Tazuna cockpit concept, which places frequently used controls and driving information within the driver’s natural field of view.
The cabin receives a 14-inch high-definition touchscreen running the latest Lexus Interface, accompanied by a fully digital instrument cluster.
Lexus has also introduced what it calls the world’s first “Responsive Hidden Switches”. The controls are designed to remain visually integrated into the cabin surfaces while becoming available when required. The company said the technology had world-first status as of April 2025, based on its internal data for announced models.
The interior has been developed under the concept of “Pleasant Time for All Seats”, with a focus on providing greater space, comfort and a more relaxing environment for both front and rear occupants.
Latest Lexus Safety System+
The all-new ES 350h is equipped with the latest generation of Lexus Safety System+, the company’s suite of active driver-assistance technologies.
Its features include an enhanced Pre-Collision System, All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Lane Tracing Assist. A driver-monitoring system will be available exclusively on the Luxury variant.
According to Lexus, the systems have been calibrated to provide more natural interventions while supporting driver awareness. As with all driver-assistance technologies, they are intended to assist rather than replace the person behind the wheel.
The sedan also receives Safe Exit Assist, which can warn occupants of approaching traffic when they attempt to open a door.
Connected-car and remote-control features
Through the Lexus Connected application, owners will be able to monitor fuel levels and estimated driving range while remotely controlling functions including engine start, door locks, windows and the slide roof.
The system will also allow users to remotely activate or schedule cabin climate settings, seat heating and seat ventilation before entering the vehicle.
Smartphone and smartwatch integration, live vehicle tracking and an emergency-call function are also included in the connected-services package.
Eight-year warranty and five-year roadside assistance
Lexus India will offer the ES 350h with an eight-year or 200,000-km warranty covering both the vehicle and hybrid battery, subject to the company’s terms and conditions.
The model will also receive a five-year roadside-assistance package covering services such as towing, taxi support and repatriation.
Customers will be offered an Assured Buy Back Programme with low monthly instalments and a guaranteed future residual value. Lexus Luxury Care maintenance packages will be available in Comfort, Relax and Premiere formats, ranging from three years or 40,000 km to eight years or 160,000 km.
The ES has been part of the Lexus range since the brand’s debut in 1989 alongside the flagship LS. The executive sedan has since been sold in more than 80 countries and regions and has become one of the company’s core global models.
In India, the ES has played a central role in Lexus’ locally manufactured portfolio. By offering the eighth-generation model with both hybrid and battery-electric powertrains, the company is seeking to retain the ES’s traditional focus on comfort while adapting it to a market increasingly shaped by electrification, connected technology and stricter expectations around efficiency.
Bookings for the all-new Lexus ES 350h are now open across Lexus Guest Experience Centres in India. Pricing, detailed specifications and delivery schedules are expected to be announced closer to its market launch.
