MG M9 Couture Edition Priced at ₹84.94 Lakh, Cyberster Couture Edition at ₹87.49 Lakh

Gurugram: MG Select, the luxury retail channel of JSW MG Motor India, has announced prices for the limited-run Couture Editions of the MG M9 and MG Cyberster, developed in collaboration with fashion designer Gaurav Gupta. The M9 Couture Edition is priced at ₹84.94 lakh, while the Cyberster Couture Edition costs ₹87.49 lakh.

Bookings for the special editions are now open, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin on August 10, 2026. The Couture Edition kit for each vehicle will be limited to 50 units and offered exclusively through MG Select Experience Centres across 14 cities.

The collaboration brings Gupta’s signature design language from couture fashion into automotive styling, with both vehicles featuring his Serpent Infinity motif. The detailing uses hand embroidery, tonal layering and hand-finished elements inspired by techniques seen in Gupta’s latest couture collection, ‘Light Song’.

The Couture Editions were first publicly unveiled in Mumbai on July 17, 2026, where Gupta showcased the ‘Light Song’ collection. MG Select served as the Official Automobile Partner for the event, using the occasion to present the specially treated M9 and Cyberster.

The partnership itself began earlier this year at the opening of Gupta’s menswear flagship in New Delhi, where an interpretation of the MG Cyberster offered an early glimpse of the collaboration.

Talking about the launch, Milind Shah, Head – MG Select, JSW MG Motor India said, “The Cyberster and M9 have quickly become the most sought-after luxury EVs in their segment. By introducing a couture layer, we are building on that popularity with an offering that is both rare and collectible. It strengthens MG Select’s business proposition by uniting proven demand with exclusivity, ensuring our luxury channel continues to establish itself as a curator of distinct experiences for discerning customers.”

Couturier Gaurav Gupta said, “I’ve always believed that great design transcends categories. This collaboration with MG demonstrates how the principles of couture, craftsmanship, precision and emotional storytelling can transform the way we experience luxury mobility. Together, we’ve created something that is as expressive as it is functional.”

Central to both editions is Gupta’s Serpent Infinity motif, which the designer has associated with continuity, transformation and quiet power. MG says the motif has been translated onto the vehicles using embroidery artistry and layered detailing intended to create changing visual depth as light moves across the surfaces.

It is an unusual meeting of wardrobes and wheels, although limited-edition luxury cars have long borrowed cues from fashion, art and bespoke craftsmanship to distinguish themselves from regular production models.

The Couture Editions build on MG Select’s existing luxury electric vehicle portfolio in India, with the M9 positioned as a premium electric limousine and the Cyberster as an electric roadster. The new versions do not represent entirely new models, but rather limited design treatments intended to add exclusivity to the existing vehicles.

Reservations are being accepted through MG Select’s official website. Customers can also contact the company’s Elite Hub at mgselect@mgmotor.co.in or 1800 57 00 000.

With only 50 Couture Edition kits allocated to each model, MG Select is clearly targeting buyers who value rarity as much as specification. The collaboration also reflects a broader shift in the luxury car market, where automakers are increasingly looking beyond horsepower and equipment lists to fashion, craftsmanship and personalisation as another way of making a vehicle stand out.
