Gurugram: Hyundai Motor India Limited and the Fashion Design Council of India have announced the 19th edition of Hyundai India Couture Week, which will begin with a special Anamika Khanna showcase in Hyderabad on July 23 before moving to New Delhi from July 24 to 29.
The 2026 edition marks the fourth consecutive year of the partnership between Hyundai Motor India Limited, or HMIL, and the Fashion Design Council of India, known as FDCI.
In a first for the couture platform, the opening presentation will be held outside Delhi. Acclaimed designer Anamika Khanna will showcase her collection at the Taj Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad on July 23.
The event will subsequently continue at the Taj Palace in New Delhi, where some of India’s leading couturiers will present their latest collections over six days. In couture terms, that means an abundance of embroidery, craftsmanship and outfits unlikely to be mistaken for everyday office wear.
The designer lineup for the Delhi leg includes Falguni Shane Peacock, Rohit Bal, House of Masaba, JJ Valaya, Tarun Tahiliani, Roseroom by Isha Jajodia, Rimzim Dadu, Arpita Mehta, Kunal Rawal, Dolly J, Jayanti Reddy, Aisha Rao and Rahul Mishra.
Hyundai will also showcase its flagship electric SUV, the Ioniq 5, during the event as the automaker commemorates 30 years of operations in India. The display is intended to connect automotive design and future mobility with the broader themes of creativity and craftsmanship represented at the fashion event.
Speaking about the association, Tarun Garg, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India Limited, said, “As we celebrate 30 remarkable years of driving progress in India, we are delighted to continue our partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India for the fourth consecutive year at Hyundai India Couture Week 2026. This enduring association reflects our shared belief that exceptional design, innovation and craftsmanship have the power to inspire and create meaningful experiences. At Hyundai, design goes beyond aesthetics, it is at the heart of how we shape future mobility. Through platforms like India Couture Week, we are proud to celebrate India’s vibrant creative talent while strengthening our connection with discerning customers who value innovation, style and excellence. As we look ahead, we remain committed to enriching lives through smart mobility solutions and meaningful collaborations that reflect the aspirations of a new India.”
The partnership places Hyundai alongside an established fashion platform that highlights Indian designers, artisans and traditional craftsmanship while presenting contemporary interpretations of luxury.
Sunil Sethi, Chairman, FDCI, said: “Our partnership with Hyundai Motor India enters its fourth successful year, reflecting a shared commitment to design excellence, innovation and craftsmanship. Hyundai India Couture Week has evolved into India’s most prestigious and awaited couture platform, championing the artistry of our designers and artisans while setting new benchmarks for creativity season after season. We are proud to once again present the 19th edition that celebrates the richness of Indian couture, while shaping the future of global luxury fashion.”
The decision to open the event at the Taj Falaknuma Palace gives the 2026 edition a broader geographic footprint and represents a notable shift for a showcase traditionally associated with Delhi.
With its Hyderabad debut, major designer lineup and continued collaboration between the automotive and fashion industries, Hyundai India Couture Week 2026 will seek to underline the growing intersection of mobility, luxury, design and Indian craftsmanship — fields where attention to detail remains important, whether the final creation arrives on a runway or rolls onto a road.
