Mumbai: Škoda Auto India has introduced two new dual-tone colour options for the Slavia Monte Carlo — Shimla Green and Steel Grey — with production limited to a combined 200 units.
The limited-run colours will be available with the sedan’s 1.0-litre TSI automatic and 1.5-litre TSI DSG powertrain options. Škoda has not announced any mechanical changes or revised pricing for the new editions.
The additions are intended to offer greater visual distinction within the Slavia range, particularly for buyers seeking something less conventional than the usual automotive shades. In a market where grey is hardly rare, the limited production number may do some of the exclusivity work.

Monte Carlo styling retained
Apart from the two new colours, the Slavia Monte Carlo retains its existing blacked-out exterior elements, Monte Carlo-specific styling details and black-and-red cabin theme.
The sedan continues to offer the same equipment package and turbo-petrol engine line-up available with the regular Monte Carlo variants.
The 1.0-litre, three-cylinder TSI engine produces 85 kW, equivalent to 115 PS, and 178 Nm of torque. It is paired with a six-speed torque-converter automatic transmission.
The larger 1.5-litre, four-cylinder TSI engine develops 110 kW, or 150 PS, and 250 Nm of torque, and is offered with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
Škoda said the 1.5-litre engine remains the only unit in its segment to offer Active Cylinder Technology. The system shuts down two cylinders under light engine loads to reduce fuel consumption.
The engine also uses plasma-coated cylinder liners, which are designed to improve heat management and thermal efficiency.
Inspired by Škoda’s rallying history
The Monte Carlo designation draws from Škoda’s long association with the Rallye Monte Carlo, which dates back to 1912. The badge has since been used on road-going models featuring sportier cosmetic treatments inspired by the company’s motorsport heritage.
Škoda recently showcased that performance theme through a multi-car relay involving the Slavia Monte Carlo, Kushaq Monte Carlo, Kylaq, Kodiaq and the limited-volume Octavia RS.
The five vehicles completed the relay, including driver changeover time, in 12 minutes and 30.97 seconds at the CoASTT circuit in Coimbatore.
The exercise secured recognition from the India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records for the “Fastest Multi-Car Relay of a Single Manufacturer on a Circuit”. It also formed part of Škoda’s “Greatest On A Track is a Škoda On A Track” campaign.
With only 200 examples planned, the new Slavia Monte Carlo colours are unlikely to transform Škoda’s broader sales volumes. They do, however, underline the carmaker’s effort to keep its sedan portfolio visually fresh at a time when sport utility vehicles continue to dominate buyer attention.
