New Delhi: Renault India on Tuesday launched the Duster Adventure Edition, a special version of its SUV priced from ₹12.99 lakh, ex-showroom, with three turbo-petrol powertrain options and cosmetic additions inspired by the vehicle’s association with long-distance travel and difficult terrain.
The special edition is available with the Turbo TCe 100 manual, Turbo TCe 160 manual and Turbo TCe 160 dual-clutch automatic transmission configurations.
Renault unveiled the model on Bastille Day in the presence of H.E. Thierry Mathou, Ambassador of France to India, and Stéphane Deblaise, CEO, Renault Group India. The timing linked the French carmaker’s national heritage with one of its most recognisable nameplates in the Indian market.
The Adventure Edition receives decals featuring topographical contour lines and the geographical coordinates of Leh — 34.27 N, 77.60 E. Renault said the design is intended as a tribute to the demanding terrain where the Duster was tested and to the journeys that contributed to its reputation in India.

In practical terms, the coordinates will not replace a navigation system, but they do give the SUV’s flanks a more adventurous story to tell.
Other edition-specific additions include Adventure embellishers and premium Adventure floor mats. The mechanical and transmission choices remain centred on the Duster’s Turbo TCe engine range.
Speaking at the launch, Stéphane Deblaise, CEO, Renault Group India, said: “Iconic vehicles are remembered not simply for what they do, but for the place they earn in people’s lives. Duster belongs to that rare category. Over the years, it became part of countless journeys and lasting memories for customers across India. The Adventure Edition celebrates the enduring connection that people continue to have with the Duster nameplate.”
The Duster Adventure Edition is equipped with full LED headlamps, an electrically operated panoramic sunroof and a powered tailgate. It also offers connected-car services through the My Renault application.
Inside, the SUV features automatic dual-zone climate control and a 25.65cm, or 10.1-inch, openR link multimedia system. The exterior package is completed by 43.18cm, or 17-inch, Ocean alloy wheels.
The Adventure Edition builds on the Duster’s long-standing positioning as an SUV associated with ride quality, handling and travel beyond urban commutes. Renault said the new version celebrates the role the nameplate has played in the journeys and memories of Indian customers over the years.
With special-edition decals, familiar turbo powertrains and a broader equipment list, Renault is using the Adventure Edition to reconnect the Duster with the rugged image that first helped establish its identity in India. The launch also underlines how established nameplates are increasingly being revived not merely through nostalgia, but through updated technology, design and convenience features.
