Gurugram: It seems February 2026 wasn’t just about Valentine’s Day and budget discussions — it was also about Indians showing extra love to Hyundai showrooms.
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has recorded its highest-ever total sales for any February, clocking an impressive 66,134 units, marking a strong 12.6% year-on-year growth.
And that’s not all. The company also achieved its highest-ever domestic sales for the month of February, reaffirming its strong grip on the Indian passenger vehicle market.
📊 Sales Breakdown: February 2026
- Total Sales: 66,134 units (+12.6% YoY)
- Domestic Sales: 52,407 units (+9.8% YoY) – Highest-ever February domestic tally
- Exports: 13,727 units (+24.8% YoY)
The numbers reflect Hyundai’s continued momentum after a record-setting January, proving that 2026 has started in top gear.
Exports Shift Into Overdrive
While domestic demand remained robust, exports were the real sprinter this February. With 13,727 units shipped overseas, Hyundai registered a striking 24.8% YoY growth in exports.
In simple terms — Hyundai cars are not just ruling Indian roads, they are passport-ready and thriving globally too.
Leadership Speaks
Commenting on the stellar performance, Tarun Garg, MD & CEO, HMIL, said the company kicked off 2026 on a high note in January and successfully carried that momentum into February. He emphasized that as Hyundai approaches 30 years in India, the brand’s ambition is crystal clear — to democratize cutting-edge connected technology and elevate every ownership experience, while strengthening India’s position as a global export hub.
30 Years, Stronger Than Ever
As Hyundai nears three decades in India, its journey from launching the iconic Santro to becoming one of the country’s largest car exporters showcases remarkable consistency.
The February milestone isn’t just a sales statistic — it signals:
- Strong customer confidence
- Rising export strength
- Continued appetite for tech-rich vehicles
- Positive market sentiment in early 2026
If January was a powerful start, February has confirmed that Hyundai isn’t easing off the accelerator anytime soon.
And at this pace, March might just need a bigger scoreboard.
