Kia India Earns Great Place To Work Certification for Second Consecutive Year, Sets Industry Benchmark

New Delhi: Kia India has once again driven home a major workplace milestone, earning the Great Place To Work Certification for the second consecutive year. The recognition reinforces Kia India’s strong positioning as an employer of choice and makes it the only car manufacturer in India to achieve this feat back-to-back — a rare case where consistency beats horsepower.

The certification is based entirely on confidential employee feedback, and this year saw an impressive 93% participation rate, reflecting high levels of trust, pride and engagement across the organisation. In simple terms: most employees didn’t just fill the survey, they actually meant what they said.

“Organisations progress when people are trusted to think, speak, and act with ownership,” said Mr. Gwanggu Lee, Managing Director & CEO, Kia India. “This recognition reflects the everyday choices our teams make — how they collaborate, raise the bar, and support one another. At Kia India, we remain focused on creating an environment that enables our people to grow confidently, contribute meaningfully, and succeed together.”
(Translation for car lovers: strong teams = smoother rides, even off the road.)

The certification underlines Kia India’s people-first philosophy, where workplace culture is treated as seriously as product quality and customer experience. The company continues to invest in structured learning programmes, employee well-being initiatives, and open communication platforms aimed at long-term capability building and engagement.

Kia India’s internal culture is driven by collaboration, transparency, diversity and continuous learning — proving that while its cars come with ADAS, the company itself runs on something more advanced: trust-based leadership.

Commenting on the recognition, Balbir Singh, CEO, Great Place To Work, India, said, “At Great Place To Work, we believe that strong workplace cultures are built on trust, purpose, and consistency. By earning this Certification for the second year in a row, Kia India has demonstrated a sustained commitment to employee experience and a work environment where individuals are empowered to perform and grow.”

According to Great Place To Work research, employees at certified organisations are 93% more likely to look forward to coming to work, and twice as likely to perceive fairness in compensation and growth opportunities. Job seekers, meanwhile, are 4.5 times more likely to find high-quality leadership in certified workplaces — making Kia India not just a good brand to buy from, but also a great one to work for.

In an industry obsessed with torque figures, mileage numbers and touchscreen sizes, Kia India’s latest achievement proves one thing clearly: the most important engine in any company is its people — and this one seems to be running in Sport mode.
