Gurugram: JSW MG Motor India is clearly in a celebratory mood this festive season, with September 2025 turning into a sales superhit. The company clocked 6,728 units, registering a 34% year-on-year growth over September 2024 (5,021 units) — its highest wholesale of the calendar year 2025 so far.
What drove this surge? A heady cocktail of GST 2.0 price cuts, early Navratri cheer, and a product line-up that seems to have found its rhythm across both ICE and EV segments.
🌟 Windsor Wins Big, Comet Rockets Higher
Leading the charge is the Windsor, which has delivered its highest-ever wholesale since launch — proving that India has well and truly taken to MG’s intelligent CUV. Not to be left out, the MG Comet—the “Street Smart Car” that’s part EV, part urban social statement—has also recorded its best-ever sales in CY25, zipping through city streets like it owns every parking spot.
⚡ Luxury EV Segment Gets a New No. 2
MG’s Select luxury retail channel has quietly but confidently made JSW MG Motor India the second largest brand in the Luxury EV segment (as per VAHAN). This rise is powered by headline-grabbers like the MG Cyberster, the world’s fastest MG that gives wind tunnels an existential crisis, and the MG M9 Presidential Limousine, a rolling suite that looks just as comfortable outside Rashtrapati Bhavan as it does outside a five-star in Dubai.
💸 GST 2.0: The Real Festival Starter
Of course, none of this momentum would have been possible without the recent GST reductions, which handed customers benefits ranging from ₹54,000 to ₹3,50,000 across MG’s ICE range — including the Astor, Hector, and Gloster. In festive India, that’s the equivalent of gifting buyers an iPhone 17 Pro Max, a long weekend road trip, and some extra gulab jamuns for good measure.
