New Delhi, September 1, 2025 – India’s favourite carmaker, Maruti Suzuki, rolled out its August 2025 sales scoreboard with 180,683 units parked neatly under its belt. That’s a mix platter of 134,050 domestic sales, 10,095 units gifted to other OEMs (because why not share the love), and 36,538 cars that set sail for exports.
The sales buffet came with some spicy highlights. Mini cars served just 6,853 portions, while compact cars hogged the limelight with 59,597 plates. The poor Ciaz, however, didn’t show up to the dinner table at all – not even a garnish – compared to last year’s modest 707 servings. Meanwhile, SUVs stormed in like Bollywood heroes, clocking 54,043 units, making sure Maruti’s muscle stayed flexed.
And let’s not forget the family carriers: 10,785 Eecos were sold, proving once again that no Indian wedding is complete without one. On the cargo side, the humble Super Carry found 2,772 buyers, because even dabbas need reliable transport.
With the festive season revving up and GST cuts adding extra masala, Maruti Suzuki seems ready to keep the traffic flowing—Ciaz or no Ciaz.
