BYD Hits 10,000 EV Deliveries in India – Proof That Silence Really Does Sell

New Delhi – BYD India, the subsidiary of the world’s No. 1 NEV (New Energy Vehicle) manufacturer, has crossed a landmark: its 10,000th electric vehicle delivery in India. And in true EV fashion, the milestone was celebrated… quietly.

This achievement underscores two big shifts: India’s growing appetite for electric mobility and BYD’s knack for pairing cutting-edge EV technology with a sustainability narrative strong enough to make even diesel engines blush.

From Cars to Ecosystem – BYD Goes the Extra Mile

BYD hasn’t stopped at simply delivering cars. It has built an entire customer ecosystem: 44 dealerships across major cities, robust after-sales support, 24×7 roadside assistance, extended warranty programs, and even a tie-up with Relux Electric to ensure that charging anxiety doesn’t keep owners awake at night. In other words, BYD isn’t just selling EVs; it’s offering therapy for range anxiety.

Global Numbers That Spark Envy

On the world stage, BYD’s story is even more electrifying. With over 13 million NEVs sold globally and 106.52 billion kilograms of CO₂ emissions saved (that’s what 1.77 billion trees would do if they weren’t busy swaying in the wind), BYD is now a consistent member of the Top 10 Most Valuable Global Automotive Brands. At USD 14.4 billion brand value, it’s growing faster than the charging queue at a mall on weekends.

And just in case customers think BYD only sticks to smooth tarmac, the company has unveiled the world’s first all-terrain circuit in Zhengzhou – a playground that includes everything from ice and snow to mountain slopes and sandy trails. Because if you can test a car on fake snow in China, Delhi’s potholes should feel like a warm-up.

Customer Confidence: The Real Fuel

Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles Business at BYD India, put it plainly:
“Reaching the 10,000-customer milestone in India is a proud achievement. Every vehicle we put on the road reduces emissions, advances EV technology, and strengthens a sustainable mobility ecosystem. Referrals from existing customers have also contributed to this growth.”

Translation: when your neighbour brags about his EV, it’s contagious.

The Portfolio of Progress

BYD’s India lineup – from the stylish BYD Sealion 7 to the practical Atto 3 eSUV, the family-friendly eMax 7 eMPV, and the elegant Seal sedan – is designed to tick all boxes: performance, innovation, and environmental responsibility.

As BYD celebrates its 10,000th customer in India, the message is clear: it’s not just about selling EVs; it’s about creating a sustainable mobility ecosystem where customers feel supported, India’s green goals are advanced, and fossil fuels are left staring in disbelief.

If the first 10,000 EVs are anything to go by, BYD’s road ahead in India looks like a highway with no toll gates – smooth, sustainable, and oddly satisfying.
