Maruti Suzuki’s July Sales Hit 1.8 Lakh Units, Because India Runs on Maruti (Literally)

New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki India Limited, the company that has practically become a household synonym for “car,” announced that it sold a total of 180,526 units in July 2025. If you saw traffic moving at snail pace last month, chances are—most of those snails were Marutis.

The breakdown reads like a buffet menu where there’s something for everyone: 140,570 units sold in the domestic market, 8,211 units dispatched to other OEMs, and a rather generous 31,745 units exported—because the world too deserves to experience “Kitna Deti Hai?” in action.

In the category specifics, Maruti’s “bread and butter” (or let’s say, “bread and butter naan” for India) cars, the Mini + Compact Segment, clocked a hearty 72,489 sales. The ever-persistent Ciaz made a cameo with 173 units sold—a reminder that while not every actor gets the lead role, they still make it to the credits.

The SUV brigade, however, stole the show with 52,773 units sold, proving that Indians love the idea of climbing a small mountain just to get to the grocery store. Meanwhile, the Eeco van—India’s unofficial school bus and multipurpose hauler—recorded 12,341 sales, showing once again that practicality sells, even if cup holders don’t.

On the commercial side, the trusty Super Carry found 2,794 new homes (and small businesses), ensuring roadside tea stalls, vegetable vendors, and mobile hardware shops continue thriving with Maruti power.

With exports standing tall at 31,745 units, Maruti seems intent on proving that while Bollywood may export movies, it is India’s cars that truly do the global networking.

In short, Maruti Suzuki’s July sales tally reaffirms one undeniable fact: no matter the segment—tiny hatch, family van, rugged SUV, or load-carrying workhorse—India’s roads (and driveways) are basically Maruti country.
