Mahindra’s SUV Stampede: 49,871 Beasts Sold, as July Volumes Cross 83,000 with a Roaring 26% Growth

Mumbai: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.) is having quite the SUV safari this monsoon, with sales numbers that could fill a small city’s parking lots. The company clocked a total of 83,691 vehicles in July 2025, marking a thundering 26% growth over the same month last year. Clearly, the roads are starting to look more like a Mahindra showroom on wheels.

The biggest applause goes to the Utility Vehicle (read: SUV) segment, where Mahindra moved 49,871 units in the domestic market, a solid 20% rise. Add exports, and the tally swells to 50,835 units—proof that Mahindra’s SUVs are not just dominating Indian roads, but also finding new hunting grounds abroad.

The Commercial Vehicles division, never to be left out, contributed a respectable 21,571 units, ensuring that the trucks and buses got their fair share of limelight while the SUVs hogged the spotlight.

Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of the Automotive Division at M&M Ltd., summed it up with a touch of pride: “In July, we achieved SUV sales of 49,871 units, a growth of 20%, and total vehicle sales of 83,691 units, a 26% growth compared to the same month last year. Our SUV growth has been supported by the recent launch of the XUV 3XO ‘REVX’ Series & the commencement of deliveries for Pack two variants of the BE 6 and XEV 9E models.”

With new electric and hybrid launches revving into gear, Mahindra seems to be setting up its garages for a future where roaring engines and silent EV hums co-exist. For now though, July 2025 will be remembered as the month Mahindra’s SUVs flexed their muscles and declared: “Move over, traffic jams—we’re bringing our own.”
