Mahindra Unveils Next-Gen CEV-V Construction Equipment at Bauma Conexpo 2024

New Delhi: In a groundbreaking move for the construction industry, Mahindra Construction Equipment (MCE), a division of the Mahindra Group, showcased its revolutionary CEV-V range of construction equipment at the prestigious Bauma Conexpo 2024 in Delhi. This launch reinforces Mahindra’s commitment to cutting-edge innovation, sustainability, and operator-centric solutions in the construction sector.

Highlights of the Launch

  • Enhanced Earthmaster and Roadmaster Models: The upgraded Earthmaster Backhoe Loader and Roadmaster Motor Grader now feature higher-powered engines compliant with CEV-V emission standards.
  • New Roadmaster G100: Equipped with a 102 HP engine, this motor grader offers unparalleled performance for faster and more efficient road construction.
  • Operator-Friendly Design: The new models come with larger, more comfortable cabins to maximize operator productivity and comfort.
  • Service Assurance: Mahindra introduced an “Uptime Service Guarantee” offering Rs. 1,000 per day if machines aren’t operational within 48 hours.

Product Showcase

At the India Expo Centre, Mahindra unveiled an impressive array of machinery, including the EarthMaster SX & SXe backhoe loaders and the powerful RoadMaster G100 and G80 motor graders. The display extended to Mahindra’s truck range tailored for construction, including the Blazo X series tippers, transit mixers, and Furio fuel bowsers.

Key Product Innovations
  1. RoadMaster G100 Motor Grader: With a powerful 102 HP engine, the G100 sets a new benchmark for grading efficiency on state and national highways. Its advanced torque output and ergonomic cabin ensure superior operator performance.
  2. Blazo X Tipper Series: Engineered for durability and efficiency, this range includes the Blazo X 48 CLS 10×4 Tipper and the Blazo X m-DURA. The models promise high reliability and fuel efficiency, backed by Mahindra’s IMaxx telematics for fleet management.
  3. Furio 10 Fuel Bowser: A game-changer in fuel delivery, this model, developed in collaboration with Repos Energy, ensures doorstep diesel delivery for businesses, contributing to efficient energy distribution.
  4. EarthMaster SX & SXe Backhoe Loaders: Designed with a 74 HP engine and iMAXX telematics, these loaders prioritize productivity while meeting stringent CEV-V emission standards.

Customer-Centric Initiatives

Mahindra announced its double service guarantee programs:

  • 48-Hour Uptime Assurance: Machines are guaranteed to be operational within 48 hours, failing which customers receive Rs. 1,000 per day.
  • 36-Hour Turnaround for Repairs: Repairs at dealerships completed within 36 hours, with Rs. 3,000 compensation for delays.

Additionally, Mahindra’s Saarthi Abhiyaan program continues to provide scholarships of Rs. 10,000 to daughters of truck drivers, benefitting over 10,000 families to date.

Driving Sustainability and Make in India

Speaking at the launch, Dr. Venkat Srinivas, Business Head – Truck and Bus & Construction Equipment at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., highlighted the company’s alignment with India’s sustainability goals. “The CEV-V range reflects our unwavering commitment to delivering innovative and environmentally responsible solutions,” he stated. “This is a testament to our dedication to the ‘Make in India’ initiative, enabling us to create products that are not only locally manufactured but also globally competitive.”

Expanding Service Network

To support its growing product portfolio, Mahindra has expanded its service network to over 400 touchpoints, including 3S dealerships, roadside assistance hubs, and a vast retail network of spare parts. This robust infrastructure ensures seamless service delivery across India’s key construction corridors.
