Bangalore — Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has reported a remarkable sales surge, closing October 2024 with 30,845 units sold, marking a 41% increase over the 21,879 units sold in the same month last year. The company attributes this growth to a combination of festive promotions, strong market demand, and customer enthusiasm for its latest offerings.
October saw TKM’s domestic sales reach 28,138 units, with exports contributing an additional 2,707 units. This success builds on a stellar performance for the first seven months of FY’24, with TKM achieving a cumulative sales milestone of 1,93,468 units—a 33% increase from the 1,45,818 units sold during the same period last year. To meet this heightened demand, TKM expanded production capacity, implementing three-shift operations to ensure the timely delivery of vehicles.
Sabari Manohar, Vice President of Sales, Service, and the Used Car Business at TKM, highlighted the robust performance, stating, “Our entire product lineup has been embraced by customers, bringing festive cheer to Toyota. The popularity of our SUVs and MPVs, coupled with the Festival Limited Editions of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Urban Cruiser Taisor, Glanza, and Rumion, played a pivotal role in driving sales.”
TKM’s special festive campaigns and limited-period offers, such as extended warranties and attractive exchange options, have further strengthened customer interest. The brand has also witnessed significant foot traffic and order-taking, indicating high customer engagement with the seasonal promotions.
“Our success this season is a reflection of our commitment to customer-centric service, efficient deliveries, and the unwavering support of our dealer partners nationwide,” Manohar added.
As TKM continues to expand its reach and adapt to the market’s evolving needs, the company remains poised to capture sustained growth, driven by strong customer trust and strategic innovations in production and service.
