Mumbai: Tata Motors Group reported a drop in its global wholesales for Q2 FY25, totaling 3,04,189 units—a decrease of 11% compared to the same quarter in FY24. The figures include sales from its luxury brands, Jaguar and Land Rover.
The company’s commercial vehicle segment, including the Tata Daewoo range, registered a significant decline. Global wholesales for this segment stood at 86,133 units, marking a 19% reduction compared to Q2 FY24.
In the passenger vehicle segment, Tata Motors recorded global wholesales of 1,30,753 units, reflecting a 6% drop year-on-year. This figure includes sales of Tata’s electric vehicle models, indicating a broader trend of slowing sales in the segment.
Jaguar Land Rover, a crucial division within the Tata Motors Group, also saw a decline. The two brands collectively reported global wholesales of 87,303 units, down by 10% compared to Q2 FY24. Jaguar contributed 5,961 vehicles, while Land Rover accounted for 81,342 vehicles. The reported figures do not include sales from Chery Jaguar Land Rover (CJLR), a joint venture between JLR and Chery Automobiles in China.
