This marks Mercedes’ second ‘Made in India’ battery electric vehicle (BEV), further positioning the automaker as a leader in luxury electrification. As part of its broader commitment to sustainable mobility, Mercedes-Benz has also expanded its EV portfolio in India to six models, including the EQS sedan and the ultra-luxury Maybach EQS 680.

The EQS SUV 580 4Matic is the first luxury electric SUV to be locally produced outside the U.S., emphasizing the brand’s commitment to the Indian market.
