Bangalore, 08 August 2024: In a grand ceremony today, Toyota Technical Training Institute (TTTI) marked the convocation of its 15th batch of students, celebrating the culmination of their rigorous training in Global Manufacturing Practices. The event honored 58 Regular TTTI students and 156 Toyota Kaushalya course students from rural Karnataka. The graduates were recognized by the esteemed Chief Guest, His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, alongside prominent figures from TKM Management, Toyota Group Companies, and representatives from the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC), National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), and Toyota Technical Skill Academy – Japan, and Toyota Indonesia Academy.
Since its establishment in 2007, TTTI has been dedicated to transforming rural youth into skilled professionals through comprehensive training. The institute boasts a 100% employment rate, with graduates securing jobs in Karnataka, across India, and internationally. The recently introduced ‘Toyota Kaushalya’ program has further enhanced opportunities for youth by integrating theoretical learning with On-the-Job Training (OJT), embodying the ‘Learn and Earn’ approach. As part of the Japan India Institute for Manufacturing (JIM), TTTI instills Japanese manufacturing skills and practices, supporting India’s ‘Skill India’ Mission.
TTTI’s commitment to inclusivity and accessibility is reflected in its free training programs for economically disadvantaged students from rural areas. The institute’s rigorous training regimen has propelled students to success in prestigious competitions like the India Skills and World Skills contests. The TTTI Regular Program spans three years, while the Toyota Kaushalya program lasts two years, both emphasizing holistic development in knowledge, skills, and physical and mental well-being.
The convocation ceremony was graced by Chief Guest His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, who commended the graduates and TTTI for their dedication to empowering rural youth. “TTTI’s exceptional training and education play a vital role in uplifting communities and fostering skilled professionals who are well-prepared to contribute to the automotive industry and beyond,” he stated.
