Lamborghini Unveils Sea-Inspired Masterpiece: The Unique Revuelto Opera Unica

Sant’Agata Bolognese/Cala Di Volpe, 1 August 2024 – In a grand showcase of artistry and automotive excellence, Lamborghini has revealed a one-of-a-kind Revuelto, the Opera Unica. Crafted by the Ad Personam personalization department in collaboration with Lamborghini Centro Stile, this singular creation celebrates the mesmerizing blues and seascapes of Sardinia.

The exclusive unveiling took place at a luxurious dinner in Cala di Volpe, a high-end holiday destination in Italy, where the car was presented amidst blue-themed decor that echoed its inspiration.

“A unique Lamborghini Opera Unica car celebrates the innovation, creativity, and inherent art found within our super sports cars, which is at the heart of our brand,” said Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO. “Our clients can explore colorways, detailing, different materials, embroidery, and finishes inside and out with Ad Personam to produce a Lamborghini that is truly personalized to them: this Opera Unica takes our creativity a step further, demonstrating paint techniques and interior finishes that are reserved for Opera Unica one-offs, presenting a truly unique art-piece reflecting the distinctive seascape and emotions of Italy’s most beautiful island destination.”

The creation of the Opera Unica required an additional 475 hours of specialized craftsmanship beyond the standard production time of a Lamborghini Revuelto. The car’s exterior features a meticulously applied paint effect, achieved by masking the body to create a canvas for two-tone and three-tone paint fades enhanced by brush strokes reminiscent of waves crashing against cliffs. Special coating techniques were employed to personalize elements such as the Start/Stop button cover and the nominal plate. The interior embroidery alone demanded 85 hours to develop the new tooling needed for the water-inspired stitching effect.

The Revuelto’s exterior showcases three shades of blue—Blu Tawaret, Blu Cepheus, and Blu Okeanos—applied using Lamborghini’s exclusive brush and spatula techniques to create a unique visual effect. This palette evokes the crystalline seas of Sardinia, with lighter and darker blues accentuating the car’s intricate lines. The light Blu Tawaret serves as the base color on the front panels and roof, while the brighter Blu Cepheus creates a fading effect on the rear panels. Blu Okeanos adds depth to the bonnet and front splitter, complemented by black Nera Bocca paint, shiny carbon splitter and sill, and Shiny Black with Diamond Polished Altanero rims featuring black Carbon Ceramic Brakes. The artistic brush and spatula effect sweeps waves of blue across the car, reminiscent of sparkling turquoise waters over sand and stones.

Inside, the Revuelto Opera Unica is just as captivating. The main upholstery color, Blu Delphinus, is contrasted with lighter Blu Amon on the seatbacks, doors, and center console trim, all highlighted by white Bianco Leda stitching and piping. The seats, door panels, tunnel, and roofline introduce a new three-tone embroidery in Blu Amon, Blu Cepheus, and Bianco Leda, reflecting the Sardinian sea’s hues. This intricate detailing is mirrored on the Blu Mira carbon Opera Unica plate on the cabin’s rear wall and the Start/Stop button cover on the center console.

The Revuelto is Lamborghini’s first super sports V12 hybrid plug-in HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle), marking a new era in performance and design. With an unprecedented architecture, innovative aerodynamics, and a new carbon frame concept, the car delivers 1015 CV from a new combustion engine paired with three electric motors. A double-clutch gearbox, a first for a 12-cylinder Lamborghini, enhances its capabilities, enabling the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and reach a top speed of over 350 km/h. Electric torque vectoring and four-wheel drive in fully-electric mode ensure unparalleled dynamism both on the track and in daily driving.

The Lamborghini Revuelto Opera Unica stands as a testament to the brand’s commitment to innovation, craftsmanship, and personalized luxury, capturing the essence of Sardinia’s breathtaking seascapes in a masterpiece of automotive art.
