Kia India Unveils ‘Kia Lease’: A New Era in Car Ownership

New Delhi, 17th May 2024: Kia India, a leading name in premium car manufacturing, has announced a pioneering initiative, ‘Kia Lease’, in partnership with Orix Auto Infrastructure Services Limited. This new program is designed to offer an enhanced and flexible car ownership experience, eliminating the usual hassles of maintenance, insurance, and resale.

The ‘Kia Lease’ program caters to a diverse range of customer needs with options spanning from 24 to 60 months and varying mileage plans. By joining forces with Orix, Kia aims to provide a hassle-free driving experience, allowing customers to enjoy their vehicles without the traditional burdens associated with car ownership. Initially, the leasing service will be available in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Pune.

Customers can choose between purchasing or leasing Kia vehicles with no initial down payment. This approach not only ensures convenience but also offers value for money by covering maintenance costs, insurance renewals, and resale considerations. At the end of the lease period, customers have the flexibility to return and upgrade to a new car, tailored to their changing needs and preferences.

All-Inclusive Minimum Monthly Lease Price:

VehicleCost (INR)
Sonet21,900
Seltos28,900
Carens28,800

Myung-sik Sohn, Chief Sales Officer of Kia India, stated, “The leasing model is a global mega trend and is gaining momentum in India as well. This model resonates particularly well with new-age consumers seeking flexible mobility solutions at appealing price points. With industry forecasts projecting 100% growth over the next 4-5 years, we anticipate our leasing service will outpace the industry growth average due to our superior product range and service offerings.”

Vivek Wadhera, MD and CEO of Orix India, added, “Leasing is the next big trend in India, where people seek mobility without any associated hassles. Leasing provides all that convenience under a single contract, offering attractive rentals linked to usage, a fully serviced vehicle, insurance for the full period, and the option to change the car at the lease’s end. We expect this space to grow significantly in the coming years.”

For Kia, entering the leasing market is a strategic move to enhance its brand image and open new sales opportunities. The company is committed to providing dedicated leasing staff and customer care to ensure a seamless and enjoyable customer experience with these new programs.
