New Holland Rides the Wave of Empowerment with ‘Project Saksham’, Skilling Youth to Steer the Future of Auto Sales

New Delhi, March 4, 2024 – In an uplifting move that combines horsepower with human potential, New Holland, a stalwart under the CNH industrial umbrella, has revved up its engines of social responsibility with the launch of ‘Project Saksham’. This pioneering initiative is geared towards turbocharging the career prospects of rural youth by equipping them with the skills needed to navigate the fast lanes of the automotive and agricultural (AG) industries.

‘Project Saksham’, in partnership with the Social Empowerment & Economic Development Society (SEEDS), is set to shift gears on unemployment by training over 400 young aspirants to become adept sales professionals. The program is an acceleration pedal pushing towards the goals laid out by the National Skill Development Mission and resonates with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), making it more than just a corporate social responsibility (CSR) project but a beacon of hope for the underprivileged youth across Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, and Maharashtra.

Eligibility for the program is as broad as the opportunities it promises, welcoming individuals 18 and above with a minimum of 12th-grade education. Sandeep Gupta, the Sales Director of the Agriculture Segment at CNH India, underlined the project’s engine of change, stating, “Our Project Saksham is committed to providing rural youth with pertinent skills for the modern world. Through this initiative, we intend to equip them with necessary skills that will enable them to secure possible placement opportunities which will create a positive impact on the economy.”

The curriculum of ‘Project Saksham’ is designed not just to fuel knowledge but to ignite a passion for the automotive industry, covering a wide spectrum from handling sales leads to sealing the deal, not to mention the soft skills of effective communication and teamwork. The first ignition of this empowerment engine was at a Boot Camp in Samalkha, Haryana, where participants underwent intensive theory, product, and soft skill training from February 6th to 8th, 2024. The journey from learning to earning will continue with hands-on training at New Holland dealerships over three months.

As New Holland plows ahead with innovations in agricultural solutions, from tractors to combine harvesters, ‘Project Saksham’ represents its commitment to cultivating not just the fields but the futures of India’s youth. This program is a testament to the brand’s drive to not just produce agricultural efficiency but to also sow seeds of opportunity and harvest the potential of India’s next generation.
