Electrifying Victory: Renault’s Scenic E-Tech Zaps Competition to Win Car of the Year 2024

In a shocking twist of events, the Renault Scenic E-Tech electric has charged its way to the top, clinching the coveted title of The Car of the Year 2024. This announcement, sparking excitement and buzz, was made at the Geneva International Motor Show in Switzerland on Monday, 26th February.

The Scenic E-Tech, a compact powerhouse, outshone its competitors, including the BMW 5-series and Toyota C-HR, in a highly charged race. The final decision was delivered by a jury of 58 motoring journalists from 22 countries, who were electrified by Scenic’s performance, crowning it with a whopping 329 points.

This win marks a historic seventh victory for Renault in this prestigious award, joining the ranks of past winners like the Renault 16 and Megane. Fabrice Cambolive, CEO of Renault Brand, couldn’t contain his excitement, stating, “This recognition is a thunderbolt of pride for us! It validates our choices in offering a vehicle that combines environmental responsibility with electrifying driving pleasure.”

Tailored for the urban jungle yet equally at home on long journeys, the Scenic E-Tech electric is a zero-emission marvel. Weighing a nimble 1,890 kg and stretching 4.47 meters, it’s a compact lightning bolt on city streets. Its impressive range of up to 625 km (WLTP) ensures that long trips are a breeze, with comfort and cutting-edge technology as its co-pilots.

With an entry price just under €40,000 (INR 36 lakh) and eligibility for government subsidies in certain areas, the Scenic E-Tech electric is as accessible as it is remarkable. Orders are surging in, and Renault’s network is gearing up to welcome this electrifying new addition very soon. Stay tuned for more high-voltage updates!
