Hyundai Electrifies India with Lightning-Fast Charging Network: Mumbai to Nashik Without Losing Charge!

Gurugram, February 15, 2024 – In an electrifying move that’s sure to spark joy among electric vehicle enthusiasts across India, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. has turbocharged the country’s EV infrastructure with the rollout of its Ultra-Fast Public EV Charging Network. Spanning the urban jungles and scenic highways of India, Hyundai has powered up a total of 11 Ultra-Fast charging stations, setting a new speed record for electric vehicle charging from Mumbai to Nashik and beyond.

Hyundai, the only OEM in India with a flash faster than The Flash, has strategically placed these high-speed chargers in six major cities – Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Gurugram, and Bangalore – and along five vital highways – Delhi-Chandigarh, Delhi-Jaipur, Hyderabad-Vijayawada, Mumbai-Surat, and Mumbai-Nashik. These electrifying pit stops are manned by friendly marshals 24×7, ensuring that EV drivers can get a quick power boost day or night, without having to wait for the sun to rise or the moon to set.

Each Ultra-Fast charging oasis features three types of chargers – DC 150 kW, DC 60 kW, and DC 30 kW – catering to the needs of all EV pilgrims, whether they’re in a hurry or just need a quick sip of electrons. Hyundai’s IONIQ 5 drivers, in particular, can rejoice as they can zap their vehicles from 10% to 80% in just 21 minutes – less time than it takes to enjoy a cup of coffee at one of the nearby cafes.

Jae Wan Ryu, Executive Director of Corporate Planning at Hyundai Motor India Ltd., charged up the announcement with his electrifying vision, stating, “Aligned with our global vision of ‘Progress for Humanity’, Hyundai is always working towards the fulfilment of all its customer needs.” He further sparked interest by revealing Hyundai’s plan to expand this network to 10 or more locations in 2024, aiming to install a total of 100 Charging stations by 2027, in collaboration with the Government of Tamil Nadu.

So, if you’re an EV driver in India, get ready to fasten your seatbelts and charge ahead with Hyundai’s Ultra-Fast charging network. With Hyundai, you’re never too far from a quick charge, a warm meal, or a shopping spree. It’s time to electrify your travel and make range anxiety a thing of the past!
