Gurugram, January 10, 2024: Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the philanthropic arm of Hyundai Motor India Ltd., has proudly announced 40 recipients of its ‘Art for Hope’ 2024 initiative. This flagship program, now in its third edition, is designed to democratize access to the arts, fostering talent in youth, women, and local artists. Reflecting Hyundai’s global ethos of ‘Progress for Humanity’, ‘Art for Hope’ covers a diverse array of fields including Visual Art, Digital Arts, Performance Arts, Folk Traditional Arts, and Community Arts.
Puneet Anand, AVP & Vertical Head – Corporate Affairs at Hyundai Motor India Ltd., congratulated the winners, expressing enthusiasm for the continued display of extraordinary creativity. “At Hyundai, we view art as a crucial driver of progress. ‘Art for Hope’ bridges the gap between the aspirations of artists and their achievements, elevating them through our support. As we enter the third year of this initiative, we are thrilled to see even grander artistic expressions and are confident that our grantees will make the most of this opportunity, following in the footsteps of past beneficiaries,” he remarked.
A significant addition this year is the introduction of 10 grants specifically for specially-abled artists under the ‘Ability for Dignity’ program. This new segment, coupled with unique artist management and virtual upskilling training, aims to offer inclusive and bias-free sustainable income opportunities for these artists and their caregivers.
The selection of grantees was overseen by an esteemed jury panel, comprising Mr. Aditya Arya, Founder – Trustee and Director of Museo Camera Center for Photographic Arts, Gurugram; Ms. Kanchan Chander, a renowned contemporary artist and printmaker; Ms. Seema Kohli, a celebrated artist, sculptor, and poet; Mr. Kranti Sambhav, Editor at Overdrive; and Mr. Raghuwanshi Pratap Singh, AVP & Vertical Head – Voice of Customer Group, National Service at Hyundai Motor India Ltd. The jury brought their extensive expertise and insight to the rigorous selection process of ‘Art for Hope’ 2024, ensuring the identification of truly deserving talents in the art world.
