Milton Keynes, UK – Volkswagen has announced the launch of the updated T-Cross in the UK market, priced from £23,965 RRP on the road (INR 25.29 lakh). This latest iteration of the popular compact SUV, which has sold over 1.2 million units since its introduction four years ago, features a comprehensive redesign and a host of new technology enhancements. The exterior of the T-Cross showcases a striking new design, particularly noticeable in the front and rear sections. It boasts integrated LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, and LED tail light clusters. A highlight is the introduction of Volkswagen’s IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights, a first for the T-Cross range.

Inside, the T-Cross presents a significant upgrade with a free-standing infotainment display taking center stage. Customers can choose between the standard 20.3 cm (eight inches) touchscreen or opt for the larger 9.2-inch (23.4-cm) display in the top-tier model. The dashboard and front door trims, especially in the Style and R-Line versions, have been redesigned with high-quality materials, aligning with the standards set by Volkswagen’s larger models.

The T-Cross is renowned for its spacious and versatile interior, offering ample room for up to five passengers. Key features include a movable rear bench seat and a flexible luggage compartment, offering a capacity of 385 to 455 litres, which can expand to 1,281 litres with the rear seats folded down. Volkswagen has also increased the towbar load capacity from 55 to 75 kg, enhancing the vehicle’s utility for towing and carrying heavier loads.

Lane Assist and a stop-and-go function, especially useful in traffic jams, further augment the driving experience. Additional upgrades include Dynamic Road Sign Display and a Digital Cockpit.

The T-Cross, available in various international markets under names such as Tacqua and Taigun, has been a strong performer in the compact SUV segment. Its launch in the UK is expected to continue this trend, backed by Volkswagen’s reliable and efficient TSI engines.
