Pune: Indian tooling company Abhijeet Dies & Tools Pvt. Ltd. and Italy-based INEVO S.r.l. have formally established a joint venture, Abhinevo Technologies Private Limited, aimed at developing and localising advanced mould, tooling and manufacturing technologies for India’s automotive and plastics-processing industries.
The joint venture, formally signed in September 2026, will combine Abhijeet’s engineering, tooling and manufacturing capabilities with INEVO’s expertise in high-precision injection moulds, multi-material manufacturing, advanced surface technologies and automotive applications.
The companies said Abhinevo Technologies will work across the manufacturing value chain, including product and process engineering, tool design, simulation, tool manufacturing, trials, validation, industrialisation and production support.
A key objective is to progressively localise advanced manufacturing technologies in India, potentially allowing automotive manufacturers and suppliers to access sophisticated tooling and process capabilities closer to their domestic operations.
Jayamurugan Thangavel, CEO, Abhijeet Group, said, “This Joint Venture marks an important step towards technology-led manufacturing. By combining INEVO’s specialised European technology with Abhijeet’s engineering and manufacturing capabilities, we aim to build advanced capability in India and create a platform serving Indian and global customers.”
Focus on Multi-Component Moulding and Advanced Surfaces
Abhinevo Technologies will initially focus on technologies including 2K and multi-component moulds, PUR-based surface technologies, In-Mould Decoration (IMD), In-Mould Labelling (IML), In-Mould Coating, functional and decorative film integration, advanced mould engineering, process simulation and optimisation, and other high-precision tooling solutions.
These processes are expected to find applications in automotive interiors and exteriors, decorative and functional components, smart surfaces and other complex plastic parts.
Depending on the application, such manufacturing methods can combine multiple functions or materials within a component while improving surface quality, dimensional consistency and process repeatability. They may also reduce the requirement for some secondary manufacturing operations — useful in an industry where eliminating an extra production step can be almost as welcome as eliminating an extra meeting.
Abhijeet Raut, Director, Abhijeet Dies & Tools Pvt. Ltd., said, “The real value of this partnership will be in taking advanced technologies from concept to industrialisation. Through Abhinevo, we aim to give customers access to sophisticated tooling and manufacturing solutions with closer engineering collaboration, faster development and globally benchmarked quality—converting technology into robust, repeatable and commercially viable manufacturing solutions.”
INEVO Brings European Tooling Experience
INEVO became an independent company in 2020 following the spin-off of the mould division of INglass, though its tooling heritage dates back to 1987.
The Italian company specialises in injection moulds and plastic-processing technologies, including multi-material and multi-colour moulding, automotive lighting tooling, IMD, IML, injection on decorative and functional foils, and advanced surface applications.
According to the company, more than 80% of its business is exported and it produces more than 100 injection tools annually.
Roberto Fagarazzi, Managing Director – Sales, INEVO S.r.l., said, “India is becoming increasingly important in the global automotive manufacturing landscape, and customers are looking for greater localisation without compromising technology, quality or manufacturing performance. We see a strong opportunity to bring INEVO’s experience in advanced moulds, multi-material technologies, smart surfaces and industrialisation closer to this market.”
“Abhijeet has a strong tooling and manufacturing foundation, engineering resources and an established automotive presence. The combination of INEVO’s specialized technology with Abhijeet’s manufacturing expertise creates a strong platform for long-term development. Our ambition is to develop solutions together in India, build local technical competence and progressively create opportunities that can serve customers both in India and internationally,” he added.
Localisation Aimed at Automotive OEMs and Suppliers
The companies expect the joint venture to support automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers by developing advanced tooling and process capabilities within India.
Local development and manufacturing could help shorten product-development cycles, speed up trials and engineering modifications and improve access to internationally benchmarked manufacturing technologies, according to the partners.
The venture also reflects a broader push towards deeper localisation in automotive manufacturing, where the focus is increasingly moving beyond assembling components domestically to developing specialised engineering and production capabilities within the country.
Partnership Developed Since Early 2025
The collaboration between Abhijeet Dies & Tools and INEVO was facilitated by Crescendo Worldwide, which began working with Abhijeet in early 2025 to identify potential international technology partners.
Crescendo Worldwide conducted discussions with prospective companies, facilitated introductions and business engagements, and coordinated meetings and visits as the partnership developed.
The process led to the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Abhijeet Dies & Tools and INEVO in India in June 2025. The relationship subsequently progressed to the establishment of Abhinevo Technologies Private Limited, with the joint venture formally signed in September 2026.
Luigi Cover, CEO, INEVO S.r.l.; Roberto Fagarazzi, MD; Andreas Popp, MD, INEVO GmbH; Nikhil Raut, Director; Abhijeet Raut, Director; and senior representatives of Abhijeet Dies & Tools attended the signing.
Palak Sahni from the Italian Trade Agency, New Delhi, joined the ceremony virtually. Representatives of Crescendo Worldwide, including Jalpa Jadhav and Makrand Kolekar, also attended.
Nikhil Raut, Director, Abhijeet Dies & Tools Pvt. Ltd., said, “This partnership is more than a business agreement. It brings together two companies, cultures and capabilities with a shared ambition to create something meaningful and long-lasting, built on trust, teamwork and mutual respect.”
He added, “The true success of Abhinevo will be measured by what our teams create together, the value we deliver to customers and the trust we build over the years ahead.”
Abhinevo Technologies intends to progressively serve customers in both Indian and international markets. Its long-term significance will depend on how effectively the venture translates imported technical know-how into engineering capability, manufacturing capacity and commercially viable products developed in India.
