Bengaluru: Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) reported sales of 32,516 units in July 2026, while its domestic volumes rose 5% year-on-year to 30,516 units, compared with 29,159 units in July 2025.
The automaker also maintained positive growth over longer reporting periods. During the first seven months of calendar year 2026, Toyota recorded domestic sales of 233,854 units, up 13% from 207,497 units during January-July 2025.
For the current financial year, domestic sales between April and July 2026 stood at 128,746 units, representing an 8% increase over the 119,669 units recorded during the corresponding four-month period of 2025.
The July numbers suggest Toyota is continuing to build volumes at a measured pace in India — more steady acceleration than a dramatic foot-to-the-floor sprint.

New Toyota Hilux adds to SUV portfolio
Toyota highlighted the launch of the all-new Toyota Hilux as one of its key developments during July. The pickup strengthens the company’s SUV and utility-vehicle portfolio in the Indian market.
The model arrives as Toyota seeks to sustain demand across its product range while expanding its presence in segments where SUVs and utility vehicles remain important contributors to overall passenger-vehicle sales.
While the company’s total sales figure for July stood at 32,516 units, the domestic sales data shows that the bulk of its monthly volumes continued to come from the Indian market.
The longer-term numbers are also stronger than the standalone monthly growth rate. Toyota’s 13% rise during January-July 2026 and 8% increase during April-July indicate that its domestic sales growth has remained positive across both calendar-year and financial-year comparisons.
With 233,854 domestic units already sold during the first seven months of 2026, Toyota enters the second half of the calendar year with year-on-year momentum intact. How that growth develops through the upcoming months will depend on sustained consumer demand and the contribution of newer models such as the Hilux to the company’s expanding India portfolio.
