Tata Nexon Pure+ PS Launched at ₹9.59 Lakh with India’s First Panoramic Sunroof Under ₹10 Lakh

Tata Motors has just given budget SUV buyers a reason to look up — literally. The company has launched the new Tata Nexon Pure+ PS at an introductory price of ₹9.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it India’s first car under ₹10 lakh to offer a panoramic sunroof. Yes, the “sky lounge” experience has officially trickled down from premium SUVs to the daily office commute and weekend chai runs.

The launch comes at a celebratory moment for Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, as the Nexon family crosses the impressive milestone of 1 million units on Indian roads. From college parking lots to Ladakh road trips, the Nexon has become as common as potholes during monsoon season — except far more welcome.

The new Nexon Pure+ PS strengthens Tata’s strategy of offering multiple powertrain choices to Indian buyers. Customers can opt for the segment’s most powerful 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine in both Petrol and Twin Cylinder iCNG variants, while diesel enthusiasts continue to get one of India’s most fuel-efficient diesel powertrains. Transmission options include MT and AMT variants, depending on the powertrain selected.

Speaking about the launch, Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., said the Nexon continues to remain the preferred choice for customers across the country, especially after emerging as India’s best-selling car in H2FY26 and the highest-selling SUV in FY26. He added that introducing a panoramic sunroof under ₹10 lakh further strengthens the SUV’s value proposition and aspirational appeal.

The Nexon Pure+ PS is clearly aimed at buyers who want premium features without stretching their budget into “EMI anxiety” territory. Apart from the panoramic sunroof, the SUV comes loaded with a 26.03 cm Harman infotainment system supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 6-speaker sound system, HD rear-view camera with guidelines, auto LED headlamps, cruise control, rain-sensing front and rear wipers, LED tail lamps, and electric ORVMs with auto fold.

Design-wise, the Nexon continues with its coupe-inspired styling, muscular stance, and modern lighting setup that has helped it remain one of the most recognisable compact SUVs on Indian roads. Tata Motors says the Pure+ PS variant has been introduced to further elevate comfort, technology, and aspirational value for customers looking to upgrade within the segment.

Safety remains one of the Nexon’s strongest talking points. The SUV was India’s first car to achieve a 5-star Global NCAP rating and later secured a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating as well. Combined with multiple powertrain options — petrol, diesel, CNG, and electric — the Nexon continues to position itself as one of the most versatile offerings in the compact SUV space.

With the addition of a panoramic sunroof at this price point, Tata Motors has effectively thrown down the gauntlet to rivals in the sub-₹10 lakh SUV market. Because in India’s car market today, horsepower matters, mileage matters, but apparently, seeing clouds through a giant glass roof matters just as much.
