Kia India Expands Aftersales Network with 500th Workshop, Rolls Out Mega Service Hub in Ahmedabad

Because owning a car is easy… maintaining it should be easier—and Kia India seems determined to prove exactly that.

Ahmedabad: Kia India has officially crossed a significant milestone in its India journey, inaugurating its 500th service workshop at Chandkheda, Ahmedabad. The achievement strengthens the brand’s aftersales reach for its rapidly growing base of over 1.5 million customers, while reinforcing its customer-first philosophy.

This milestone isn’t just about numbers—it’s about making sure Kia owners spend less time worrying about service appointments and more time enjoying their cars. With this addition, Kia’s network now spans 800 service touchpoints across 391 cities, ensuring that help is rarely more than a short drive away.

A Workshop That Thinks Big

The newly opened West Coast Kia facility isn’t your average service centre—it’s practically a small automotive ecosystem. Spread across 76,069 sq. ft., it features 57 service bays, 100 parking spaces, and a team of 90 trained professionals. The facility can handle up to 40,000 vehicles annually, making it one of the largest Kia workshops in the country.

Adding a touch of luxury to the grease-and-wrenches world is the ‘Shine Zone’, where cars can get premium treatments like ceramic coating—because even your car deserves a spa day once in a while.

Ready for the Electric Future

Kia is clearly charging ahead—literally. The Ahmedabad workshop comes equipped with a 90 kW DC fast charger capable of charging two EVs simultaneously, highlighting the brand’s push toward an EV-ready ecosystem.

Digital, Contactless, and Convenient

Gone are the days of guessing what’s happening to your car behind the workshop doors. Kia’s service ecosystem now includes RFID-enabled processes, digital vehicle health reports, and real-time updates. Platforms like Kia Krystal and My Kia App allow customers to track their vehicle’s service journey remotely—almost like tracking a food delivery, but far more expensive.

Sustainability in the Fast Lane

The new facility is part of Kia’s Green Workshop initiative, featuring 145 kW solar power generation, rainwater harvesting, and water recycling systems. Across India, Kia now operates 124 green workshops, collectively generating 8.90 MW of solar energy.

To top it off, the company has also kicked off a 10,000-tree plantation drive in Ahmedabad, proving that while cars may emit, companies can still commit.

What This Milestone Means

According to Gwanggu Lee, Managing Director & CEO, the 500-workshop mark reflects Kia’s commitment to transparency, convenience, and trust throughout the ownership journey. Dealer partner West Coast Kia echoed similar sentiments, highlighting the growing demand for accessible, high-quality service.

With this milestone, Kia India isn’t just expanding its footprint—it’s quietly redefining what aftersales service looks like in India. And if this pace continues, finding a Kia workshop might soon become easier than finding a parking spot.
