Mumbai: Škoda Auto India seems to have swapped its speed limiter for a launch pad this year. As the brand celebrates its 25th anniversary in India, it’s also celebrating its best-ever annual performance—achieved in just ten months! Between January and October 2025, the Czech automaker sold a record-shattering 61,607 cars, surpassing its previous high of 53,721 units from 2022.
And October 2025 wasn’t just festive—it was fantastic. Škoda clocked 8,252 cars in a single month, its highest-ever monthly sales. For a company that once defined “European exclusivity,” it’s now redefining “mass appeal—with manners.”
🎯 Powering Past the Past
The charge was led by Škoda’s new sub-4m SUV, the Kylaq, which has already raced toward the 40,000-unit milestone—clearly, Indians love a compact powerhouse with European flair. Adding to the momentum were the Kodiaq, the luxury 4×4 that can embarrass a German shepherd with its pedigree, and the ever-dependable Kushaq and Slavia, which continue to prove that practical doesn’t have to mean plain.
Meanwhile, the Octavia RS pulled an “RS thing” again—sold out in just 20 minutes, reminding everyone that some legends don’t age, they just get faster.
🧭 Expanding Roads, Expanding Reach
Škoda’s surge isn’t just about cars—it’s about connections. With a network of 318 customer touchpoints across 180 cities, the brand is now easier to spot than a chai stall at an Indian highway. Its “Made-for-India” SUVs and sedans have now crossed 200,000 locally produced units, proving that the Czech automaker isn’t just driving through India—it’s parking here for good.
India also became the first global market to complete Škoda’s full rebranding rollout, showing that while the badge may look different, the mischief behind the grille remains the same.
💬 A Word from the Helm
Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, summed up the company’s stellar run with signature composure and just a hint of well-deserved pride:
“This milestone of our biggest sales ever is a testament to our team’s strength of purpose and clarity of vision. Our product offensive, culturally relevant communication, and agile execution have made our 25th anniversary our biggest year yet.”
Or, in simpler terms—mission accomplished, but make it stylish.
🏔️ Fans, Not Just Owners
Beyond sales, Škoda is also building a community of fans—literally. Sixty passionate Škoda drivers formed a convoy of 28 cars that reached Umling La at 19,024 ft, setting a record recognized by both the India and Asia Book of Records. Not bad for a company that began its India story with sedans and now sends SUVs to the roof of the world.
Škoda is now investing over 25,000 training days and expanding its sales and aftersales team to 7,500+ by the end of 2025—because every great car needs great caretakers.
As for what’s next? With record-breaking numbers, cult-level fan following, and a cheeky confidence that could make even a Ferrari blush, Škoda Auto India isn’t just celebrating a milestone year—it’s accelerating into the next one.
