Holy SUV, Batman! Mahindra Rolls Out the BE 6 Batman Edition – A Collector’s Dark Knight on Wheels

Mumbai – Forget Bat-Signals in the sky, India now has Bat-SUVs on the road. Mahindra & Mahindra, in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products (WBDGCP), has unveiled the BE 6 Batman Edition, the world’s first commercially available Batman-inspired SUV. Limited to just 300 units and priced at ₹27.79 lakh, this isn’t just an EV — it’s a rolling piece of cinematic history wrapped in Satin Black.

Not Just an SUV, A Symbol

Some cars get you from A to B. This one makes sure you feel like Bruce Wayne between A and B — while secretly hoping traffic clears like Gotham’s criminals at the sight of the Batmobile. Built on Mahindra’s Electric Origin BE 6, this limited-run model blends cutting-edge EV engineering with the brooding style of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Trilogy.

Pratap Bose, Chief Design & Creative Officer at Mahindra, put it dramatically (because, of course, Batman deserves drama):

“The BE 6 was always bold. The Batman Edition? It’s personal. It’s arresting. It’s the SUV that whispers, ‘I am vengeance’ every time you hit the Boost button.”

Design: From Gotham to Ghatkopar

The BE 6 Batman Edition isn’t just dipped in Satin Black — it’s sprinkled with Bat-magic everywhere you look:

  • Custom Satin Black paint with Alchemy Gold accents on suspension and brake callipers
  • Bat emblems on hubcaps, quarter panels, bumper, windows, and even projected onto the ground via Night Trail carpet lamps
  • Infinity Roof featuring the Bat symbol, just in case you want the moonlight to know you’re serious
  • R20 alloy wheels with the kind of stance that says, “Where’s the Joker now?”

Step inside, and the Bat-cave continues:

  • A numbered Batman Edition plaque in brushed Alchemy Gold
  • Suede and leather upholstery with sepia gold stitching (Wayne-approved luxury)
  • The Dark Knight Trilogy emblem embossed on seats, dashboard, and the Boost button (because vengeance deserves branding)
  • Even the custom EV sounds are Batman-inspired — a Gotham hum instead of a silent whirr

For Fans, Collectors, and Secret Vigilantes

Warner Bros. Discovery’s Vikram Sharma called it “a collector’s statement on wheels,” while Anand Singh noted India’s “passionate Batman fan base” as the perfect audience for such a fusion of pop culture and electric mobility.

With bookings opening on August 23, 2025 and deliveries starting September 20 — International Batman Day, Mahindra seems to be asking fans one question:

Why just watch Batman, when you can drive him?
